...really, until now! MICHELIN PILOT PRIMACY
Well then, here is a challenging review subject! Car tyres! Not just any old car tyres, but in my opinion, the best - Michelin.
Michelin are a very old and famous French tyre company, founded in 1889, who are also extremely well known in the field of (excellent) maps, travel guides and gourmet associated hotels and restaurants. This is not however a review of Mr Bibendum's (that's the Michelin Man to you) ... ...That tyre is the Michelin Pilot Primacy. Both cars have 16 inch alloy rims, and a 55 percent profile, the Honda's being slightly narrower at 205, in lieu of 225 (mm) on the Omega. Hold on a minute, 55% PROFILE, what is that? You have probably seen car manufacturers boasting about low profile tyres in their glossy brochures. The profile of a tyre is quite simply the depth of the tyre, measured between the wheel rim and the road, expressed as a percentage ...

Advantages: Excellent wet performance, Good cornering, Not too noisy, Fantastic wear resistance Disadvantages: Poor initial traction, take 500 - 600 miles to wear in
...a pair of the new Michelin Pilot Exaltos. In a 205-45/17 fitting these are fairly intimidating beasties. None of your swoopy curves and slashes that look all sexy. Oh no. These purposeful hunks of rubber have three MASSIVE channels running around the tyre combined with some fairly agressive lugs (sipes?) around the outside edge.
The mention of an outside edge indicates that these are directional tyres but maybe not in the strictest sense. The Bridgestones ... ...should be mounted in, which ultimately meant that you could only swap the tyres along the same side of the car. The Pilot Exaltos, on the other hand, have an outside and an inside edge. Obviously you will always fit the outside edge to the outside of the wheel, so it is possible (in theory at least), to swap the left and right fronts without problem. This asymmetrical tread design has some rather neat features. First off, the three central channels ...

Advantages: Well known brand Disadvantages: Go out of shape.
...what is worth avoiding. Michelin boast being one of the 2 tyre suppliers to the Formula 1 world championship. Yet it fails to pass its lessons leared from the track to the consumer. As much praise as people want to heap on the French Tyre giant, Michelin have always failed to meet my expectations. I have had these tyres twice. Once through coming with my new car and once through buying them as a replacement. When we had our new Ford Escort, it came ... ...friend in the trade that Michelin are notorious for going out of shape. They wear unevenly and become unbalanced. Aparently its the heat that does the damage. You would not expect that on our roads. What they do give is excellent grip in the dry. I did not like them in the Wet and had an accident in my Fiesta that had Michelins on it. Much prefer Pirelli for the wet conditions. The good points with michelin is that they are hard compund tyres. They ...

Advantages: Good grip, low rolling resistance and noise Disadvantages: Warps very quickly, weak sidewalls
...** Durability:
A Michelin is a superb tyre when we consider the good grip; thanks to its extremely soft compound. However, when we look at what we trade in for the good grip, we find out that a soft compound to provide good grip also provides for a weak carcass and sidewall. It is all too common that out of a set of 4 tyres at least two of start warping within the first 5,000kms or so. If you drive on a road with bumps often you are sure to end ... ...pay some special attention to Michelin tyres. You never know when one of your tyres may blow into shards and set a rendezvous with the barriers for your car.
** Rolling resistance, aquaplaning, grip :
Rolling resistance is desired as low as possible of course. Thus you save fuel and place less stress on all parts of your vehicle, since you do not have to transfer much of your kinetic energy to heat but use it for your main purpose of moving instead. ...

Advantages: One of the best Motocross tyres you can buy. Disadvantages: The high price!
The michelin are a well known tyre brand in the motocycle backround. Although they come with a heafty price tag you cant really skimp on a quality tyre, after all on a motorbike you've only got the conatct surface of a human foot on the ground,so a quality tyre can help. A back tyre will set you back around £50. Depending on the surface that you use it on the tyre will generally last a few months of riding. If you feel the tyre when its on the bike ... ...You can see why most of the top riders use this tyre, the pattern is unique.as the name donates it in the shape of a star, providing bloody good grip. I put the tyre on myself although i wouldn't reccomend it, got a few cuts and bruises to show for it, After that i found i pinched the inner tube TWICE, so i gave in and took it to tyre fitter. The tyres aren't usually found at car tyre fitters, you'll have to visit a specialised off road store. This ...

Advantages: grip the road Disadvantages: lose grip quick so you have to buy more
This tire is know as and talked in a manner of being a world class pedigree tyir they have the grip of other tires and the suposed long lasting effect of other tyres but do they.
The tire does have some heafty grip and some last ability but this tire does have some down sides after the summer has passed and you have these tires on and you come to winter the sudden climate change makes these tyres frail or become petrifide around the edges.
grip ... ...the hold the road perfectly not like conventional tyres that do a weel spin every ti,e some rain drops not to mention ice.
