I ordered a 26" Flat screen TV from Micro Direct, before having read all these so-called 'horror stories' about how terrible they were. The price was brilliant, and the delivery time was very good- if interrupted a little due to a bank holiday weekend, although that was beyond Micro Direct's control. I placed an order via the Micro-Direct website on the 13/08/2004 at 16:01:35, and chose Saturday AM Delivery, which it told me was the Business Priority order to be delivered by Amtrack. It also told me that I would receive confirmation via e-Mail, which I did not until many hours later... I have placed four orders with Micro Direct all with next day delivery. Not one arrived next day and this lateset one was ordered on the 29th October at 15:40 with priority next day delivery and still hasn't arrived.. One order arrrived so poorly packed that one case cooling fan i had ordered had lost 4 fins. I tried customer services but realised after 20 minutes on the phone there was no point as the call would have cost me more than the fan was ...

I bought a system from them that was faulty on arrival, after taking almost a week to arrive in the first place I had to send it back for "testing".
