(If your wondering about the title, inside ball driven mice is the ball, obviously, this ball is made of steel then covered with rubber, so there, I’ve explained it now….and yes, I know I’m a total geek!) The Microsoft Basic mouse is often confused with the larger Intellimouse we see quite often. The intellimouse was shipped with virtually every PC sold to business’s and the likes back in 1998-2000 and you saw them everywhere, they were very reliable mice and you can still buy them now. So why was the Microsoft Basic Mouse needed? Easy answer to this one, whether ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap, good reliability

    Disadvantages Disadvantages lacks features

The Microsoft mouse is a bog standard 2-button mouse that’s ships with most Dell & other good manufactured PC systems. When these mice first came out they were around the £40 mark now they are around £12 FITS LIKE A GLOVE The Microsoft basic mouse is ergonomically designed to fit nicely in your hand and reduce the pressure and discomfort for long usage. Advantages Advantages Great little mouse

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price for what it is.

When it comes to mice, you cant beat the original and in my mind, still the best, Microsoft Mouse. It may look rather simple in appearance compared to the other ludicrous inventions on the market but it does its job. At the end of the day, you buy a kettle to make a cup of tea, not fill itself, pour the tea and bring n the biscuits do you? Wheres the fun if your mouse does too much for you? That is why I have stuck with mine. Here are my pros and cons to mice in general and why Microsoft Basic mouse is the best. 1) Cordless Mice. Forgive me if im wrong but you will be using your mouse next to ... more

Advantages Advantages Microsoft mouse - reliable and compatible with any program

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the most comfortable mouse. Just two buttons

It is called exactly what it is - basic mouse. Most mice now are designed to be comfortable or to have some special gizmo on it. First there was the third mouse button - That didn't do anything - then came the infamous mouse wheel that lets you scroll windows easily. Then for those that like to sit back in their armchair - miles away from the screen - there is the cordless mouse. And now we have the infra red optical mouse. Why would anyone want a basic mouse? you might ask. Well - Basic people want basic things. Anyone buying a computer for the first time don't have a clue about computers, so ... more
