Just before Christmas my other half managed to spill half a glass of water onto my keyboard, and I was not amused to say the least and after convincing him "no you can't just dry it out" we were straight down to Argos to pick up a new one. Half an hour later - love the new pay with card Argos machines, no queue to pay for me thank you - I had myself a nice new Black Microsoft keyboard for the bargain price of £10.
... ...wrestle with, which is a refreshing change. Straight out the box and plugged in worked straight away on my XP windows with no need to mess around installing anything. Looks pretty good is Black, I like it. Has 2 flip out legs to raise one end and they do their job well enough, is comfortable to type on the keys aren't overly sensitive but not so bad you need to stab at them with your fingers. Advantages: Looks stylish Disadvantages: Dropped letters, very poor response to typing
...Had I used the Microsoft one that this review features, you'd bearly be able to make it out due to the dropped letters. I literally had to bang the life out of the thing to get words typed out, and spent a third of the time re-editing everything.
Featurewise this is a basic keyboard, no shortcut keys, just the basic alpha-numeric keypad and the 12 F-Function keys. There are two rickety-looking feet at the top to tilt the keyboard, though this makes ... ...do get what you pay for here, and for £7.32, well... enough said.
By all means, get this if you run an internet cafe or something where customers will come in, go out and never come back again.
Just stay away, for yours and the keyboards sake. That's all I can say. ...
