Advantages: Nice feel, very sensitive, nice features Disadvantages: Could be more comfortable
...is just white, and has Microsoft written on the bottom, obviously. Below the word Microsoft is the laser, covered by some red plastic. This lights up every time you move the mouse, and looks pretty smart when used in dark conditions. Incidentally, lifting the mouse up and pointing towards someone's face in dark conditions can be a bit harsh, as it is very very bright.
Unfortunately the mouse could have been made more comfortable for the user, as ... ...Paying a little more would obviously get you a higher model, and you would be able to find a very comfortable one, but this one feels fine still. It is designed for both left and right handed people in terms of handling, which is a nice feature too. The packaging which the mouse came in looks very nice and smart, showing off the mouse and its special features. Installation is very simple, just plugging it in the mouse port, making sure the USB port ...

The Microsoft Intelli mouse Optical 1.1 is a versatile tool for your PC. The mouse is by Microsoft so you know you have something which will work well on any surface and can easily navigate around your documents and websites. The mouse is optical which basically means it has no ball underneath and uses laser technology. This enables you to navigate easily and makes the cursor on screen accurate. Being optical it can be used with ease on any surface, ... ...- 5 year warranty
Overall this is a very reliable mouse and I haven't had any problems with it. I still use it sometimes if I need to with my laptop, as I have a wireless mouse and keyboard now. The Microsoft Intelli mouse Optical 1.1 costs around, £15-£20. ...

Advantages: Funtionable, durable, easy. Disadvantages: No frills, but that could be an advantage.
I now have two of these mice, soon to be three with the introduction of a laptop computer to our household. In my opinion, they offer basically everything a mouse has to offer with minimal expense.
Looks.
The mouse isn't particularly hand-moulded like some of the ergonomic mice you see today. However, this doesn't sacrifice comfort - this optical mouse is very easy to hold and manoeuvre, and it certainly isn't badly designed. Aethetically, it stands ... ...pictured is a white and grey combo, which I posess. The mouse also has a red light indicating it is plugged in.
Features
One of the better features, which is often standard these days, but nonetheless excellent, is the presence of an optical sensing system, rather than a ball that often gets clogged up with dirt and dust, rendering it useless. I have heard people with problems with the optical 'laser' equipment, but we've had two mice for years ...

Advantages: Light, 5 programmable buttons, durable Disadvantages: not a gaming mouse, slightly over priced, dated design
...dated against my black components. Microsoft has released a black version of this mouse though so if that’s a problem go check that one out.
Another problem with the white colour is that it shows its age, mine now has some stains on it, due to regular use, upwards of 4hrs a day most days. The durability of this mouse is very good, as i have been using it, as mentioned above, daily for long periods of time. Frequent gaming also puts a stress on these ... ...yet (apart from the scroll wheel problem discussed above). This mouse is quite light also, so for people with arthritic problems or carpul tunnel i should imagine this is a good thing for them, as it won’t be heavy on the wrists.
-----| Conclusion |-----
Pretty good mouse for office use or home pc use. This is not a gaming mouse, if you want a gaming mouse pay the money for a Logitech G5. Pretty good for people with movement issues as it is light. ...

Advantages: Ease of use, cost, feel, long lasting Disadvantages: Needs to be worn in
...crazy low price. For once Microsoft have done something well again, or at least found someone who has to print their name on it!!
Final thing... if you don't connect this mouse via USB, you will not get the 5 button function. Connecting it via the PS/2 connection, the small round one that's green limits it to a usual 2 button scroll mouse. ...

Advantages: Accurate and responsive laser mouse, good range of buttons Disadvantages: Not hugely stylistic
...Looks: This package from Microsoft is neat and clean in appearance; the mouse is plain white plastic with silver buttons and red under light. This mouse is simple and would blend in nicely with any desktop environment. Practicality: The IntelliMouse has proven comfortable in my experience. It is nicely curved and fits my hand easily; the buttons are easily accessible and not too sensitive, so you can move the mouse without accidentally clicking. ... ...it's widest point) and a length of 12.5cm.This mouse offers 5 buttons which is an ample amount for day to day use but also good for gaming too. This mouse has been plenty sensitive for my usage; it glides smoothly and is responsive enough for you not to have to move your hand much at all. In my experience, all it takes is a gentle push using my thumb or little finger to get an adequate response. I use a sheet of paper as my mouse mat which works ...

Advantages: Well suited to use in office Disadvantages: Lacks what it takes for use in modern gaming
This modern optical mouse from Microsoft provides the same ease of movement as the original ball mouse but without the reduction in response due to the build up of dirt. This means that there is no requirement for regular maintenance or cleaning as the high quality optical laser provides the on screen movement. Caution: the laser can cause permanent damage to the retina of the eye, causing vision impairment.

I would not recommend this product for keen gamers, as although the Microsoft IntelliMouse Mouse provides responsive control for use with desktop/ office software, it fails to reach the quality necessary for modern fast passed games. ...

Advantages: Good for both left and right handers. Disadvantages: Too light, rubbish precision.
This mouse was not what I expected it to be. My first impressions was how light it was, and, in my opinion, light mouses are really not that good. I initially bought this mouse to play games with online and offline. And because of the weight, the precision of the mouse was not good to previous mouses.

Advantages: Durable, Versatile and Very Precise Disadvantages: A bit plain looking, gets dirty easily
This mouse has lasted longer than any of the other Mice I have owned. I bought mine over 4 years ago and it still works perfectly. Its Fairly easy to use, there is no need to install any additional software using a USB port (There is also an option to use PS/2 ports) although the software is also of a high standard. The optical mouse is very precise and responsive, and I bought the mouse for online gaming. I no longer play online but there is no ... ...a good feature too, the side buttons make internet browsing much faster and the scroll wheel also pushes down to further speed up browsing. The mouse fits both hands, but as a result off this it may look a little plain compared with other Mice. I would recommend the product to anyone looking for a durable, versatile mouse that doesn't care too much for the styling. ...
