Advantages Advantages Wireless connectivity to Xbox live, Simply to setup

Disadvantages Disadvantages Ridiculously expensive, Doesn't come in black to match my Xbox 360 Elite

If, like me, you have an Xbox 360, you will no doubt be aware of the dynamic and enjoyable facility available to you online, namely Xbox live. Xbox live is a place where you can download demos and game add-ons, chat to your friends, and stream movies and videos direct to your Xbox 360 in glorious high definition. But while the Nintendo Wii and the Sony Playstation 3 can go online straight from the box without any additional hardware, Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided not to include wireless connectivity as standard in the Xbox 360. This leaves you with a couple of options should you ... more

Advantages Advantages No need for wires. Reliable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Over inflated cost.

Introduction It is hard to believe that in this day and age where wifi internet connections are the norm, that the Xbox 360 console, does not ship with a built in wireless network adapter. The Playstation 3 has this built in and even the Wii manages it too, so why have Microsoft decided to omit it from the Xbox? In my opinion, the answer is simple, it is hard work to bridge a connection from your laptop and the majority of Xbox users will not have their console in close proximity to their router. Therefore, the only other alternative is to spend £60 and buy the Microsoft Wireless network ... more

The gaming world is booming and everyone want's a part of the action which connection to the internet can provide. There are of course several ways for one to connect to the internet, PC, Mobile phone, Pocket PDA or a games console such as the Xbox 360. With a PC the situation is quite simple get an ISP ( Internet Service Provider ) and pay a monthly premium for the use of there server connection to the net. You PC will need a modem and a line to the Server. This is done via your telephone line or a special connector supplied by your ISP. Once you have established a net connection a wireless ... more

~~ Scenario: you are watching your favourite television programme, and your partner/son/daughter wants to play on their xbox 360, they love playing on it especially going *Live* so you get them to take it to another tv, but they keep on moaning as there is no close connection to the internet. Well buy them one of these - 'Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network adapter' ~~ My Husband bought one a little while ago, and raves about, how he can play online without the added hassle of extra wires and not losing the connection when you're in the middle of a game. ## What is it called? ## It is known as ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to install, simple to use, nice and tidy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I recently bought my partner a new Xbox 360 slimline (MW3 Edition) and as the biggest TV in our house is in the front room, he decided that this new console was to go in the front room in place of the old Xbox 360 we already owned. I decided to put the older console in the bedroom, so that I could play it whilst my partner was on his console in the front room, but to be able to play online I would need to get a wireless adapter as the older consoles do not have a built in wireless capability like the new ones do. It was either that or get the worlds longest ethernet cable to be able to plug ... more

If you enjoy playing online on your xbox 360 and your router is not easily accessible with wires then you should seriously consder getting yourself a wireless adapter. The Adapter cost around £50-£60 which I think is ridiculously over priced for what is simply a wireless adapter which generally cost aroud £10, but seeing as it is the only option for wireless gaming on the Xbox 360 then if you really want wireless it is your only option. The adapter was very easy to set up. You simply click it into place at the back of the Xbox 360 and plug the usb plug into the port, and adjust the aerial to ... more

    Advantages Advantages Works wonderfully

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey

For a while I used my trusty xbox 360 with an Ethernet cable plugged in so I could go online and make use of the wonderful Xbox Live. In my humble opinion modern day gamers are missing out on a considerable lot if they ignore online gaming and thus I wanted to be in on the action. However, it soon became apparent that by having to stretch cables to the computer downstairs, cut offs and the wire being a tripping hazrd in a busy house I needed something to take them away and sure enough the Wireless Adaptor does the trick. The thing that was putting me off here when initially buying was the ... more

This is an official Microsoft Wireless adapter product for your X Box 360. It plugs into one of the USB sockets and allows you to connect to your home wireless network without a wired connection. If you use the USB sockets on the back of your X Box it can securely clip onto the back. When I had to relocate for my job I ended up lodging at someones house. They had a wireless setup and all their equipment was situated downstairs. I had my X Box setup in my room upstairs so the only solution to this problem was for me to get a wireless adapter as running cables up the stairs was not an option ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cute,Compact,Attachable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Weak signal,Very expensive

Microsoft and their proprietary products are poor performance, and too expensive. This adapter detects the same network my pc adapter detects but only 1 bar of signal. My pc adapter has 5 bars on the network. The xbox adapter must not have an omni antenna and the gain is probably 1dbi.I tried to opened this crap and put a higher gain antenna but the connector is a sub micro connector specially made for microsoft to screw us.I still could have rigged a better antenna, but i accidentally lost an ic chip trying to pry this thing apart, now there goes 70 bucks, never again. Fortunately i discovered ... more
