...is that you don't have the drop down menus. There are eight tabs in which are collected the functions. The tabs are: Home, Insert, Page Layout, References, Mailings, Review, View, Add-Ins. Guess where is "Count words" for example. Unfortunately the name of the tabs are not the same as were the name of the menus and you don't know what is where.
