    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't suit the look of the new black slim Xbox 360, no AV button.

    The Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote is a complete lifesaver. Since Ive moved into my own flat Ive been struggling to purchase a quality DVD player so I purchased one of these to aid in playing movies etc. It is lightweight, back lit and even flashes when the batteries are dying. The uses of the remote are almost limitless for the xbox 360. For the gamer's out there, it is worth noting that it is not compatible with most games. But anything to do with logging into accounts, browsing the web or playing media; it is perfect! The good points for me is that it is an average ... more

    The Xbox 360 universal media remote is a pretty good addition to your accessories especially if you use your 360 to watch a lot of DVD's. it offers easier manipulation of DVD functions than the standard 360 controller, you can access functions like skip scene, fast forward, pause, zoom at the touch of a button instead of using a menu system. out of the box the remote is easy to set up, you can use it to control simple functions on your TV also by simply using the comprehensive code system in the manual, all you have to do is find your brand of TV and punch in the code on the keypad. from here ... more

    Unfortunatly, your choice of remote for Xbox 360 is currently very limited, and whilst this isnt the best remote ever, its still the best option you have. You get X, Y, A, and B so that you can navigate Xbox 360 menus easily, and theres also the Xbox Guide button at the top too. The backlight is also a nice little extra, and the TV volume controls come in handy sometimes. Unfortunatly every time you press the TV button the remote switches between Xbox 360 mode and TV mode. When in TV mode the only button that will respond with your Xbox 360 is the Xbox Guide button, and there is no way to tell ... more

    This is a great remote for all your xbox 360 media needs usefull when you want you own music in your game play as u can skip tracks while playing games without the side bar But if your like meand enjoy using xbox 360 media center and the media center on your pc with ethier windows vista on windows xp media center 2005 then dont buy this remote but the microsoft media center remote as you can then control your pc and and xbox 360 with 1 remote

    I got this remote for a great price and so far in my opinion it's one of the best things i have bought for the Xbox 360. The only downside is that it's only available in white so sticks out like a sore thumb with my Xbox 360 Elite and black Samsung TV. The remote controls basic Xbox functions as well as full Windows Media Center, and DVD functionality. This contoller can also be programed to control your TV set.     Advantages Advantages Simple to use and efficient, saves the controller battery

    Disadvantages Disadvantages High price tag, not desperatley needed

    I got this free when i bought the HD DVD player and it has proved very useful when i have been watching movies and so did not want to use up the battery on my controller. It is very simple to use and is sleek and isnt bulky; it just fits in with the watching of the movie. I can, however, not see how this would be worth the £20 price tag and i got mine free with the HD DVD Player, this is my honest opinion, it is not desperatly needed and is very expensive for what it is. I find that the remote has to be pointed right at the XBOX 360 aswell and so this can get quite annoying sometimes Thanks ... more
