...can be somewhat restrictive. Therefore, Microsoft developed this......The Wireless Communication headset.
How does it look?
Well as you can see from the picture, its quite small. About 100mm long with a flexible earloop that fits around the back of your ear for comfort. The earloop is made of soft rubber and comes with 2 sizes in the box. 1 for smaller ears and 1 for bigger ears! However, even the bigger one does not fit me too well so tends not ... ...choice when buying a headset. Its a pain to set up, runs out of battery in a flash and even when its charged, does not really work all that well. Poor marks to Microsoft as their controllers are spot on. Its just a shame their headsets do not follow suit. ...

Advantages: Sleek, stylish and reliable Disadvantages: Costs twice the normal wired headset
I originally had the basic wired headset which comes with the xbox 360 premium console. Unfortunately this one was broken by my mum who hoovered up the wire causing it to rip out. I then bought a second one of these which broke of its own accord, and i was then rather fed up with the normal wired headset and opted to go for this new wireless headset.
It was quite a bit more expensive at £30 to the normal headset which is only £15, but i felt it ... ...the previous ones.
It certainly has and i have now had this headset for about 6 months and have not had a single problem.
It is certain the perfect headset for both hardcore gamers and for just casual gamers.
Firstly, being not wired makes it far more practical as you can move more freely without being attached to the controller, and you can also walk away from the controller without suddenly having your head grabbed back by that really annoying ...

Advantages: Long Lasting, Small Disadvantages: Must Be Charged
Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset This Xbox 360 wireless headset is definitely a long lasting microphone, which is quite durable. One thing which I like about this headset is that its much more comfortable to wear compared to the original Xbox 360 Headset.
Another advantage about this headset is that its wireless so you don't need to bother with any wires. The only disadvantage about this product is that it has to be charged.
The battery ... ...it takes about 3 hours to charge fully.
You can use this wireless headset to listen and talk to your friend on Xbox Live.
I paid £35 for my wireless headset and it was well worth the money. I recommend this product to all potential buyers. ...

I bought my headset recently from ebay. I was looking forward to getting it because i haven't been able to speak to anyone on xbox live for ages. Since my days of Halo 2 on the original Xbox.
I knew that the old headsets were crap, flimsy, uncomfortable and generally, just bad and plasticky. So i was looking forward to a change with the new wireless headset for the 360.
Everything that i was looking forward to just didn't happen. The new headsets ... ...not so much now. And they do look more stylish than the older xbox version. They look and feel similar to bluetooth headsets that have emerged recently.
As for the fact that it is no more comfortable, if anything it is less comfortable. I hate wearing it, it just flops off my ear, makes it really hot, itch and make my whole gaming experience uncomfortable. Plus its a distraction, just dangling on the side of my cheek. Its annoying! There is just ...

Advantages: Great looks, handy charge cable included Disadvantages: Not great sound quality, no play and charge facility
The microsoft xbox 360 wirless headset is very attractive and fits the ear very well - at least it fits mine anyway. The headset isnt particularly good at picking up quiet speech though, which is often a let down during games that require alot of detailed communication for tactics such as Gears Of War 2 or Call Of Duty WAW. The headset is priced at £34.99 RRP, which i think is quite reasonable for what you're getting. The headset comes with full ... ...USB point. It cannot be used in a play-and-charge situation which gets annoying so you have to leave it overnight to charge. It is mcuh less cumbersom that the various wired headsets on the market and has a good range using the 360's infra red technology system. There is a small silver button on the side used to turn the headset on and off, one inside the mouthpiece which is used to syncronise it to your console, and also has 2 handy volume buttons ...

Advantages: light simple to use Disadvantages: does not hold charge well
as all you online gamers know the key to online succsess is communication and this ticks all the boxes its light weight fairly comfortable to wear and easy to charge. to be honest it is a far better cammunication device compared to its wired counterpart headset. it the mike is movable to a small degree. plus it has a long range of upto 30m it is easy to connect just like the controllers. however there are a few annoying points. it takes a while to ... ...is made in one size and one size only it does not allow for any adjustment. it takes a while to charge and often it does not have to hold the charge very well. it is also annoying that when you are done you have to turn it off yourself or it runs out of charge as it has no self turn off function. plus you cannot use it while it is chargin throught eh usb cable to your xbox.
so overall it is a product that if you are a serious online gamer then you ...

Advantages: Wireless, good use time, very clear input & output, Disadvantages: Cant be used whilst charging, could be a bit more confortable to wear
A wireless headset, such a simple idea, yet so effective. Ok it has all the features of the wired headset e.g. volume control, mute but it is wireless. To connect it to the 360 is extremly simple, just press connect on both the 360 and the headset and its ready to be used. First of all the output volume is excellent, very load very clear, i prefered it over the wired headset as i couldnt hear much using hte wired headset. The input again is much ... ...me whilst i was using it making me have to shout however using the wireless headset made all the problems disapper. The only thing i did find is that every so often a high pitched sound will go down the microphone which everyone will hear and get annoyed about, but u dont hear it so its good new for you anyway :D Now the wireless part, the question is do you have to have your ear right next to the 360 or does it have a good range and yes it does ...

Advantages: Small, easy to set up, quality, reliability, Battery Life Disadvantages: Price
==Xbox 360 Wireless Headset==
Since buying this as a replacement for my original wired headset, Ive been very happy with it, so much so that Im glad my original headset broke. The sound quality is just as good, if not better, than a wired headset. Also because you cant get dust physically getting inside the connection the reliability is alot better.
It does take a day or two getting used to the weight and fit of it, but its very comfortable really. ... ...pick up what your saying.
Battery life is not an issue, despite what people assume. Aslong as you plug it in to your 360 to charge every few days it will be fine. It will charge with your Xbox completely off, without the fans or anything left running (aslong as its still connected to the mains of course!).
The only downside I can think of is the price, and the fact that you have to move your hand all the way from the controller to your ear to mute ...

Advantages: Great quality sound, comfortable Disadvantages: Runs out of charge quickly
This is buy far the best add on feature available for the xbox 360. After i broke my second wired headset i decided to upgrade after reading some good reviews about it.
The good: A very clear in-game voice both speaking and hearing. Dosen't get in the way (I always used to pull the wired headset out accidentally). Easy to use and put on.
The bad: If you keep in on for hours it begins to become uncomfortable and hurts your ear. Its really small ...

Advantages: clarity, freedom, style Disadvantages: price, pain(can be overcome)
I own this bad boy, just like every other product made by microsoft. It is clear, seemless, easy to connect, stylish, and pinacle of technology. When you change from wired to wireless headset on the xbox 360 controller. You get worried that when you drop your controller, your head will get yanked down like it used to. But it doesn\'t, its a strange feeling. Bonuses - you can go to the toilet and still talk; you can move about 10 metres away if you ... ...is very painful mind you but if you are like me, smart, and your wired headset broke, you can nick the foam thing on the microphone, cut a hole in the top and slot it over one of the two different ear peices. Medium and small. It has the two ear peices which will fit absolutely anyone.
The microphone is clear and is just the same as the wired headset so know worries about not getting heard.
It comes with a charger, battery lasts about 12 hours ...

Quick review of Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
Better than the wired version but still has the poor old telephone quality audio. Disappointing sound as I was expecting clearer audio more like that of a bluetooth headset, especially considering it sounds worse than a BT headset I bought for £9.99. My original plan was to use it for the PC and 360 (it does work with the wireless reciever for windows, but then so do the wired ones when plugged into a pad) but now I am just going to get a bluetooth reciever and use my 9.99 one that I use on the PS3 and phone.
Simply put, the only option if you don\'t want wires, but no other improvement beyond being wireless ...

...but after searcing the box, microsoft also supply an extra grey ring. You can tell microsoft have put a lot of work into the headset making it as ergonomic as possible.
The charging time on the headset isn't too bad, (8 hours talk time, 4 hours charge) but it gets a bit annoying when it runs out half way thorough a game. The headset does play an audible warning though, which lets you know when you have less than half an hour battery life.
Despite ... ...have never really ahd an static or interfearence. It is also quite loud, but of course comes with a volume control on the side.
Setting up the headset is easy, you simply sync it up like a controller, but the clever thing is, it syncs up on the same channel as your controller so it is possible to have 4 controllers and 4 headsets to one xbox 360.
Pricewise is where i think this falls down, but this is probably due to it being an official product. ...

I purchased this item at PC world for around £25 i believe (possibly a tiny bit more)
Money off when you reserve the item online.
The chaging time isnt too bad in my experience, when you push the middle "xbox" button on the controller the battery life is shown alongside the life left in the controller - which is nice to know =)
It is comfortable, and comes with an additional gray ....strap? (not sure how to word it there)
Just incase the second to worst thing could happen.
Adjustable volume and mute settings are great too.
Very reliable peice of kit that every xbox gamer should own. ...

Advantages: Wire Free Communication Disadvantages: Rumoured static interferance
...little bit of kit that Microsoft have recently released may not be revolutionary, but it makes gaming on the Xbox 360 that bit more comfortable - but at £34.99 RRP, I can see why it may not be an immediate purchase.
In the pack comes the wireless headset itself, along with the trusty instruction/warranty booklet, a spare rubber ear 'bracket' and a mains charger.
To fully charge the headset, it takes around 4 hours. Once this has done simply sync ... ...wireless controller. Hit the button on the console, and then the sync button on the headset itself...let it do its thing and away you go!
On the Guide blade, next to the wireless controller battery indicator you will now notice a headset battery indicator.
And away you go as normal...wireless gaming at its best IMO!
