Advantages: Lets you on X Box live with out wires, good range, when it connects it's great
Disadvantages: Can be frustrating to start, Costly, Should have been inbuilt, poor trouble shooting

...pick up wireless Internet (yes, Microsoft stung us here) despite the fact the Wii does we need to splash out on an external one. I'll admit I'm not particularly happy at needing to splash out extra to do something, even more so when you then need to pay for the subscription but it was pay day and I was feeling joyous. Costing £35 for the device at the time (prices seem to range between £35-£50 though) and the same again for the subscription this ...

In frustration I did something odd to our wireless router that had effectively reset everything on it and cut off the houses internet all together, oh yeah this was just getting better. No sex, no internet...and no sex on the internet...what the hell is a 21 year old guy meant ...

...to buy myself the official Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless network adaptor. I thought rather than run another cable around my living room I'd take advantage of the BT wireless hub I have for my broadband and connect my Xbox up remotely. From reading the box it seemed to be nice and easy. You just attached the adaptor to the back of your machine, switched it on and hey presto you were pretty much ready to go online. The reality, whilst still quite straightforward ...
...until the switching it all on and connecting instantly. It took about 3 hours to actually get the Xbox to pick up an IP address and the appropriate Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). There wasn't a great deal that I could actually do to help it find either of these apart from keeping running the tests. It seemed that the night I tried it all there was a problem with Xbox live and so 99% of the time you shouldn't encounter these problems. Once all the ...

Wireless. User friendly. Reliable. Expensive.

Advantages: Easy to set up, good performance, reliable, fits in with the look of the console
Disadvantages: Very expensive

Technology is advancing at a quickening rate nowadays, and games consoles are a prime example of this advancement. What were once simple items that just played games have now become multimedia powerhouses with huge hard drives and many extra features. Given that one of these features is the ability to play online against other gamers, it was somewhat inevitable that wireless networking would be introduced to the next generation consoles. And indeed ...
...your Xbox 360 isn't wireless out of the box, and you don't have the desire to run an ethernet cable through your home in order to wire your Xbox 360 to a router, then this simple but functional product will shove your console into the age of wireless. Given the simplicity of the product, I thought it would be easier to give potential buyers a bit of an FAQ rather than run down the features (there really is only one feature after all). HOW EASY IS ...

Enter the world of wireless gaming!

Advantages: No unsightly cables
Disadvantages: overpriced

I bought this when I changed to BT Broadband and had to put the hub in another room. I didn't want to have to trail an ethernet cable through the living room and the hall so this seemed the best idea. Having used wireless networks at work I was a little apprehensive about the quality of the connection because XBox Live relies on a solid and uninterrupted service. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the connection and have not had any problems ...
...packaging (ridiculous packaging like all XBox stuff, could taker your eye out with the sharp, heavy duty plastic!!) it's simple to fit. Simply click it in to the gaps provided above the ethernet port on the back and plug it in to the usb port below and you're ready to go. On the main screen, go to the 'System' tab and configure it to join your network. The design is pretty good and the style is in keeping with the rest of the hardware...white, chunky ...

Look...no strings!!!

Advantages: No wires! simple to use,
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

The Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless bridge is a simple adapter that allows you to access the internet from your Xbox without having to trail wires to your Router. Firstly the advantages are obvious as i had Ethernet cable running through three rooms to get to my router and it took an age to hide them tidily under the carpet. i decided to get this when i moved the Router to a different place and didn't want to go through all the hassle of rewiring. To ...

Please note that although this is an excellent idea if you have a child with a 360, as you will be able to put it in their room and let them play away without the hassle of wires running to your router, but you will need to get a wireless router if you haven't already got one. The design of the wireless adapter is simple and the unit itself is quite small, but once you have it ...

Easy to use, yet laggy and expensive.

Advantages: Easy to use, good instructions, long reception.
Disadvantages: Expensive, can cause lag, brutal packaging.

The XBOX 360 Wireless Adaptor allows you to connect your 360 without wires and from longer distances than wires would allow. It's extremely easy to set up - once you have a wireless router (or you can bridge it through your home PC or laptop) it fits easily into the back and by accessing the settings on the 360 menu, I was up and running in seconds: even with the dodgy AOL provider. The instructional booklet also contains deep information and diagrams ...
...fight into the brutal packaging that is! The XBOX 360 packaging is horrid, I actually cut my finger on the packaging when attempting to access it. However, sometimes the wireless signal can drop, causing small lag issues and sometimes disconnection from games. Another downside is the cost, retailing at around £60, it is very costly and this can lead to obvious problems due to the current financial state - but it's worth it for a great online play ...

WIRELESS THE WAY TO GO!

Advantages: no cable lying aound, gives you freedom
Disadvantages: people have talked bout disconnecting

i purchased this a few weeks ago because i had a cable running up the wall from my living room to my room. this ment that there was a horrible cable going up the wall for all to see which looked terrible. also another thing was that i had to keep my tv, 360 etc, in one place or the wire would not reach, which you wouldnt things was that bad however, the widow is behind me so the light is constantly on the screen making it hard to see it, so when ...
...have to shut the blind. this wireless adapter is great! i already had a wireless router for my laptop, which send the signals to it. it was very easy to set up, you just plaug it in to the back of your 360 and it holds itelft there with little clips. you then just go to network settings and it finds all available networks and you just oick your one and write your wep key in and you away. it took longer for me to disconnect and take the wire of the ...

Wired Vs. Wireless

Advantages: Small, easy installation.
Disadvantages: Slow for some gamers.

The Network Adaptor is use to play XBOX 360 online (XBOX LIVE). This is very handy if the ethernet cable provided is not long enough to reach you router, which is my case. However there are downsides, if there are many active computers the connection will be weak which is prestigious if you are playing games such as 'Call Of Duty 4' , 'GTA IV'. If this is rarely the case i advise you to buy the router. Cost is a downside aswell, for £40 less you ...

Overall I am slightly dissapointed of this product as I thought there would be a better faster connection than the wired but i have been disputed. ...
