Advantages Advantages Simple, easy to use,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wont work unless you have fast pc, To many warnings and ect

I have currently upgraded to windows 7 home premium, its like the advert says, computing is easy, but you will need a fast computer though for it to work, Anyway home premium is the cheapest but the best for in the house, you can install stufff, download and ect but you will need a good anti-virus system for it to work fully or it just nags at you, Most things must be added on though, it doesnt come automatically, like movie maker isnt on there at the beggining, You can have, Custom background, task bar, snipping tool, media center I gave this the title of, windows 7 the new fture because this ... more

Advantages Advantages Graphical uplift with some nice new features. Overall feels alot more modern.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Fairly pricey and difficult to find things if you are used to older versions.

Windows 7 is an operating system for your PC or laptop. Some noticeable changes in this version are the desktop layout. The icons appear somewhat larger on the desktop although this can be changed through various custom options. The icons in the system tray are also larger and have been changed slightly graphics wise. As well as an all round graphical uplift there are more help files readily available if you get stuck with things. Overall it has a more modern appearance and feel. Another noticeble change is that any programs you have open can be minimized to the bar at the bottom and you can ... more

Advantages Advantages a whole whack of new features like the drag and snap

Disadvantages Disadvantages as with any windows some people experience lag, or slight confusion on the new look

it's an understatement to say windows has made a giant leap from windows vista. restore all faith i had in the windows product! love all the new features, much easier to get what you want when you want. I would definatly recommend windows 7 for even the most novice of users. Most drivers are found quickly and easily simply by plugging in the hardware, wich is a huge step up from previous windows taking out the heavy reliance on pesky driver disks that you use once and end up with a search and a half if the disc is lost. all in all windows 7 is very visually appealing, runs smoothly, and makes ... more

Advantages Advantages The look of it, no problems and doesn't break down as easily

Disadvantages Disadvantages May be quite difficult to get used to, forces you to buy Office 2007 at a high price

Windows 7 is proof that "the bigger the better", although it does take some getting used to. With a more modern, sleek design to your desktop, it does certainly look better than any other operating systems I have come across. One bad thing I thought about this was that Micrsoft Office 2003 is not compatible with Windows 7, forcing you to purchase Microsoft Office 2007 (which is not cheap). Although, wisely I feel, all new computers and laptops are now bought with Windows 7 as standard. The toolbar and start menu are tidier and there are no pointless options or features like those that were ... more

Advantages Advantages Great performance and beautiful interface.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Perhaps still behind the Mac OS operating system.

Windows 7 is the eagerly awaited new operating system by Microsoft that aims to take computing to the next level. There has been less improvements made than the change from Windows XP to Vista, however, it is clear that there has been a big emphasis put on ease of use and performance etc. Everything within the operating system is just geared towards 'ease of use' and for that reason I really liked it and would recommend it thoughrally. There have been a variety of features that make it an excellent and worthwhile upgrade but the main new beneift is the interface. There has been enhanced ... more

    Advantages Advantages added features

    Disadvantages Disadvantages crashes

Although Windows 7 is the newest version of Windows from Microsoft, it still has a few flaws. As did every other version of Windows. Even though Microsoft has added a load of new features such as the snap tool, easier wireless connections and the toolbar which has the ability to store shortcuts, Microsoft have still not worked upon some of the major flaws of Windows Vista. i, myself, prefer to use Microsoft rather than Apple because of the sheer versatility of the Microsoft range. Microsoft allow a large variety of USB format devices and will search for drivers itself and if it cannot find ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick, looks nice, simple

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

We have recently updated all our computers to windows 7 and i cannot fault it at all, it is such an improvement from windows vista. The small alterations such as to tab your favorite applications and to view whats going on in the application without even having to click on the tab is very helpful. Especially when using the internet where you may ave several tabs open you can hover over the tab at the bottom of the screen to see the pages separately. The look is similar to windows vista but in itself looks sleek and stylish. It's a lot faster than Windows Vista and you can move from application ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fast and Stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes time to learn how to use it!!

Windows 7 - The thing everyone seems to talk about. Windows 7 is an amzing os for almost everything! The only main downside is that it is almost completly differnt to windows XP and later editions which means it takes to time to get used to. For example the my computer section is completly different so it takes time to find files etc. Of course when you get used to the system you will be fine but its just the hassle of learning how to use a PC again. Another issue with windows 7 is that some games dont work on it such as older games like Age of Empires 2, Zoo tycoon and Harry potter. As soon ... more

Advantages Advantages Good, easy-to-use, reliable, flexible and fun all in one product.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Easy to use and very professional finish. When i first got windows 7 it was still running through its release stage so it obviously had a few bugs and they were sorted out instantly with windows live updater.. Which to be honest is an amazing little product For eg:- Recently I bought a new graphics card, an nvidea gt220 to be precise and the disc it came with would not load .... so i was in the predicament of hmmm new graphics card no installer ... I seen an update in the windows updater and it was the drive for my graphics card.... !! How ?? Im still baffled lol but it was a money saver, I ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, quick to install hardware, customisable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Firstly, I'd like to say that I've always been a fan of Windows products since 3.1. Unfortunately I though Windows Vista was a huge let down after the success and pure brilliance of XP. Windows 7 has changed it all. The most simple and useful thing about W7 is that it's so usable! You can present your information, programs, files, social networking sites and chats in any which way you like as essentially it is fully customisable. It also takes up about half the processing power and disk space of Vista and will certainly mean a longer, happier, cooler processor! The changes are fairly subtle ... more
