    4 Stars Windows 7 Professional Upgrade does the job for XP users 14/06/2011

    Advantages Advantages once up and running, is unobtrusive, no fuss OS, stable, and more secure and faster

    Disadvantages Disadvantages some upgrade issues from Windows XP, not in-place upgrade, need to learn new ways to find things

    I have been running Windows XP for donkey years like many out there, but I felt now was the time to get to onto a more secure, stable and hopefully faster OS. I actually wanted to use Windows 7 on my Apple iMac (heresy some would say), using the Boot Camp tools that allow you to use Windows natively on the Apple hardware. I had a copy of Windows XP that I installed to my new iMac, so I could then just purchase the Win 7 64-but upgrade and do an in-place upgrade.
