Microsoft's software is well know for being bloated, buggy and often slow. Although a 'little' larger than previous versions, WMP7 is actually quite good. Firstly, it does away with the look of the older versions, replacing it with Winamp-style skins. It goes one further, however, by allowing complete rearrangement of the controls rather than just altering the look of them. This is my most recent mp3 player and CD ripper. It is also the best. You can put all your mp3s onto it and they are organised into different groups eg, music style, artist, album etc. you can also make your own playlists. You can get all the track titles etc. from CD's before you copy them onto your hard drive. It even puts them into a named file. This has to be the best player/recorder that I've come accross. I recomend this program to any music ...

Even if you minimise it it leaves a fairly sizeable box. I believe you can turn this off but really you shouldn't have to.
