Advantages: No rollerball, no cable, simple to install, Alerts when low battery or interference, Very comfortable to use. Disadvantages: Limited to recent Windows and Mac Operating systems only, Some may find it a little large or heavy.

Love them or loath them Microsoft do produce some decent hardware although they do tend to carry a price premium. The RRP of this mouse is around £40 which does seem a little expensive. However Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk) are currently selling it for £25 which makes it much more attractive.

...went out and bought the Microsoft Wirelss Optical Mouse 2.0 in a nice Ice Blue. Even the packaging is nice as you can have a feel of the size and shape of the mouse before you buy it. I thought it felt right, nicely shaped and sized. In the box is the reciever, which is nearly as big as the mouse, so not for laptop users, a USB to PS2 adaptor, drivers, manual and batteries. The batteries are Energizer, helping MS to keep the claim of 6 months life ...

Advantages: Affordable wireless and optical mouse technology that's compatible and reliable Disadvantages: Battery life isn't quite 6 months, scratches appear with use.
...I've used quite a few Microsoft mice and they have all delivered excellent performance, this one generally being no exception. I believe I paid about £25 for it in Staples but the price has come down since then.
The mouse is quite large, about just short of the length and width of your hand and it fits in both the left and right palm comfortably. Mouse has opaque blue buttons and cover, with translucent blue sides and base. Two AA size batteries ...
