Advantages Advantages Light, Headset Included, Ease of use, Comfortable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages High RRP Price

The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit comes in that awful plastic packaging that you cut yourself trying to get into - but once you get past that initial hell, you'll find yourself with a very respectable product. The Messenger Kit includes both a chat pad & an xbox 360 headset. I should mention now however that the headset that comes with this kit is not the original headset that we are all used to. The difference with this headset is that the volume & mute controls are in different locations to the previous headset. Previously the controls were located on a piece of plastic that connected to your ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy To Use, Makes Writing Messages Quicker

Disadvantages Disadvantages Buttons Have Slow reactions Occasionally

Microsoft Xbox 360 Messenger Kit Keyboard This Xbox 360 Messenger kit is a very helpful product to have if you use windows messenger on Xbox Live. The keyboard if very simple to use and it makes it much quicker to write messages to other people over Xbox Live. The Keyboard its self is very durable and my one hasn't broken yet so they definitely do last. Attaching the keyboard to your Xbox 360 controller is very easy. The only disadvantage about this product is that sometimes the buttons don't react straight away. You can buy the Microsoft Xbox 360 Messenger Kit Keyboard for about £20. I am ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes messaging a breeze, Can be used without being drawn away from a game

Disadvantages Disadvantages Reduces controller battery life

After spending most of my time in front of a keyboard, i found text entry of any sort on a gaming console to be a tedious task. The Xbox live messenger kit is a tidy little bundle consisting of a wired headset and a neet little qwerty keyboard called a chatpad that clicks in between the 2 handles of the Xbox 360 controller. Although adding quite a chunk to the mass of the Xbox 360 controller, the chatpad is surprisingly streamline and imposes verry little on the placement of your hand on the controller. It contains 47 keys including independent number keys and a messenger hot key. The Letters ... more

Advantages Advantages Perfectly designed to fit

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes unresponsive with some keys

MSN on Xbox 360? Perfect! This ergonomically-designed device fits perfectly and neatly into the bottom of the controller, and has been designed perfectly so that it does not hinder gameplay whilst connected. MSN can be accessed as usual via the dashboard, or if you have conversations ongoing, you can press the little MSN symbol on the chatpad, and a very little translucent screen pops up during gameplay, so you can type and receive the lastest replies. Fantastic feature for switching between conversations, and very intuitive, it is a very useful tool. Unfortunately, it does take some getting ... more

Advantages Advantages speeds up typing, you get an xbox live headset as a bonus, looks cool

Disadvantages Disadvantages none that I can think of!

This piece of kit is an absolute gem. If like me you dont like leaving voice messages for people then this is for you. It has a full qwerty keyboard with shift functions, and it even has a messenger key. It sits perfectly into the bottom of the controller and no extra batteries or wires are needed. Its ideal for putting in annoyingly long activation codes from microsoft, and when you do use messenger, or facebook or even twitter on the xbox 360 it literally cuts the typing time into a tenth!!! As a bonus this item comes with an xbox live headset because it uses up the port on the bottom of the ... more

Advantages Advantages makes typing on the xbox 360 much easier

Disadvantages Disadvantages i wish the buttons where slightly bigger but its not a real issue

When this originally came out i thought to myself this is a must buy for many reasons. It was such a pain to send messages through xbox live until i purchased this as it was tucked away attached to the game pad and it didn't add much weight to it so it was not noticeable. The keypad which clips into the bottom of the xbox 360 controller gives you the whole alphabet and numbers 0-9 also they have a wide range of accents which u can use ctrl/shift buttons to access. i have seen unofficial versions of this but i must point out that buying own brand accessory's means that it will work 100% with ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick easy messaging, get back to the game faster. Clear talking and a lightweight headset.

Disadvantages Disadvantages If you play in the dark, you cannot see the letters. No headset disadvantages,

I am in the MLG, major league gaming, for Xbox 360. This keyboard is essential in the aspect of communicating about upcoming tournaments or typing in information. Anyone who is looking to bye this product probably knows that typing with the joystick or arrows is ridiculously time consuming. My headset still works after almost 4 years, and I plan to keep it until the 360 is done away with. When you look at this product, buy it. Its a you get what you pay for offer, high price equals high quality. If you play any online shooter or sports game, you need to be able to talk. Use the headset for ... more
