If the gamecube's controller is a anorexic, purple oddity, then this is the king size man one! While hugely smaller than the awful first gen controller which was the size-of-a-baby's-head and looked like a big black whale, the Controller S still suffers from a slight weight problem. The main problem is that it is rather flawed. The sixties/seventies style, seemingly unergonomic PS1 controller was so good, way better than it should of been. Buttons ...
...were where they should of been. It was such a good design they used it, as old fashioned as it was, for the next generation. The controller S, however, is bigger than it has too be. Did anyone ever complain that the PS controller was too big / small, no, because it fitted everyone. I can't stand it, it looks horrible and the buttons are placed so they are more spread out and it is very simple to miss a particular button which can really tick you off when playing an intense game with yer mates. This is the better controller for the Xbox as u can see.Firstley this one is a lot smaller and is a lot more easy to get to grips with. And Secondly it is a lot more easier for kids to use as u don’t have to keep holding it with one hand and pressing the button's with the other. You get this controller along with your Xbox console upon purchase, it is slightly large compared to other leading consoles basic controllers but it is ergonomically designed and is far easier, in my opinion, to hold. All the buttons are easily recognizable and easy to reach comfortably whilst holding the controller properly as are the thumb sticks, d-pad and triggers. It has a good length of cable allowing you to, if you so wish, sit much further ...
...it would be an excellent first controller for an "Xbox beginner", however there is no real need to purchase this controller unless a second one is needed as it comes with the Xbox console itself. Overall the controller is very easy to use, you will get used to it very quickly, it sits well in your hands for easy reach of all controls and the button layout has all the different type of Xbox game in mind. first i find that the control pad is very big i think it should be much smaller you tend to have a finger ache after a while, i also think the triger buttons are hard to use becaues again it is to big, i think the joy sticks should be level not one up and the other down they should be in line with each other . happy with the buttons on it they are easy to use and well colourd, very nice. i like the way they have come up with the stress release design ...
