Advantages: Superb controller with no wires and loads of features and very good feel Disadvantages: None- except a bit more expensive than wired controller
This the wireless controller for all xbox 360 consoles regardless of whether they are the arcade console or the newest elite console. This controller will work on all the consoles. The controller itself is just as important as the console as without the console you are kind of stuck and can't do much. This controller is also wireless!

...look of the console itself Microsoft have gone in for a redesign of the original XBox controller. Like the console itself the first thing that you notice about the controller is the switch from the black colouring of the old XBox controller to the pure white of the 360's. Of course while this new colouring makes them look quite sleek it is a colour that shows the slightest specks of dust and dirt. The other obvious change is in the weight of the controller. ...

What a great controller Review ofMicrosoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - game padby
mjgfish
Advantages: Wireless, very light, great for all types of gamer Disadvantages: Drinks up the batteries
From a young age I have been a fan of games consoles and have basically therefore played games using a lot of different controllers. My first console was a Sega mega drive closely followed by a SNES which meant pretty basic controller set up. I then played on the likes of a N64 where the controller was somewhat different than the others I had played on considering its was somewhat like a fork head with three spikes. Of course I've played with the ...

Advantages: Comfortable, no wires to get tangled. Disadvantages: Short battery life, need to buy additional charging kit.
...I don't quite understand why Microsoft released a wireless headset for the 360, as you are unlikely to be using the headset alone.
The batteries that were supplied lasted for a couple of weeks of gaming, I would think maybe 20 to 25 hours of gaming. I think I will be getting stocked up on rechargeable batteries, or buy the play and charge kit, which I have seen for sale for about 15 quid. This has a battery pack, and a charging cable that plugs ...

...the best from the three. Microsoft changed it's design slightly and went with the completely opposite colour...WHITE.
And it's brilliant.
APPEARANCE:
At first look, the Xbox 360 controller looks like a space age rocket about to blast off into space, searching for the stars. This futuristic design compliments the Xbox 360 console 100%. The colours of the buttons explode from the white controller, dragging the player into the 'Microsoft World' ...

Advantages: great feel and touch Disadvantages: white shows dirt
I personally think that the microsoft xbox 360 is the best next-gen console that is going to be availiable in the next 3-6 years. For such a good cosole there needs to be a a great controller to acompany it and micrsoft have easily achived this although it has taken some slack in the developing stage for being rather ugly but i disagree as it is a really nice controller to play with.

I purchased an Xbox 360 Core system on launch day as that was all I could get my hands on so I was stuck for a week or so with the wired controller. When the Wireless controllers finally came back into stock I managed to purchase one and was extremely impressed with it. Do you remember the good old NES controller? a rectangle with some buttons on it! well, controllers have certainly come on since then. The Xbox 360 wireless controller ...

Advantages: Wireless, dont have to get up to turn on/off console Disadvantages: Runs on battteries so you need a plug and charge kit really
Ever since getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was 9 years old I've had a bit of a obsession with consoles and gaming. Having gone through a massive list of different machines and accessories over the years (such as the SNES, Megadrive, Mega CD, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2 and more) I've used many different controllers of different shapes and sizes. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller is one of the top controllers ...

Advantages: Not too expensive, long range, easy gaming, many features Disadvantages: Low battery life
The wireless controller for the xbox 360 makes it easier and more enjoyable to play.
It has a fairly long range, it is possible to play the xbox from the other side of the room. It is safe to say that the controller will get a signal as long as you can still see the tv enough to play it.
The controller is identical to the wired ones in all other ways and even has the headphone plug socket so you can play xbox live with it as well.
One downside ...

Advantages: Only marginally more expensive than a wired control Disadvantages: Batteries last roughly a week or two. May need to invest in a play and charge kit.
This product is possibly the only reliable thing to come from the Xbox 360. If your anything like me, you dont trust wireless connections in the slightest (anyone with a wireless router and a mobile phone should know what I mean) but this little beauty is truely an amazing piece of kit. Not only have I never had a problem with the signal on this device, the responsiveness is second to none. A similar to design to original xbox controller S-type, it ...

Advantages: Light weight, familiar layout, no cluttering wires Disadvantages: Complains of low battery life far too early
The 360 wireless controller is, in all ways, a very good little package to own for the avid gamer. Even a week into owning it I was still putting it down in that complicated way we have with wired controllers, trying to avoid the wires dangling into anything.
I was even bemused to find that the controller will work when not even on the same floor as the Xbox!
The only let down is in the controller\'s approach to battery life. It seems to think ...

Quick review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - game pad Review ofMicrosoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - game padby
Wakey1989
The xbox 360 wireless controller is a great item to own; i use it to play games in bed, i can wlak around the house with it come back to my console and it is still connected.
It does however turn off if you drop it, but then again you shouldn't be dropping it =D
I use rechargeable batteries and so i always have some pre-charged ones on hand to replace them, but microsoft also have the "plug and play" ? kits so you dont need to run out of power for you controller during a race, fight, or even a hand of poker.

Advantages: extremely fast, seemless, easy to set up, stylish, with NO LAG. All for a reasonable price. Disadvantages: none
This controller is amazing. The converson from wired controllers to wireless is seemless. There is nothing like going down stairs and picking up a packet of crisps, while still being able to hear your best mate chatting to you in perfect clarity. There is no lag and this will be because of the 2.4ghz connection which keeps everything running smoothly. Excellent peice of hardware for the money. Must have if you own an xbox 360 and also if you pick ...
