...I don't quite understand why Microsoft released a wireless headset for the 360, as you are unlikely to be using the headset alone. The batteries that were supplied lasted for a couple of weeks of gaming, I would think maybe 20 to 25 hours of gaming. I think I will be getting stocked up on rechargeable batteries, or buy the play and charge kit, which I have seen for sale for about 15 quid. I personally think that the microsoft xbox 360 is the best next-gen console that is going to be availiable in the next 3-6 years. For such a good cosole there needs to be a a great controller to acompany it and micrsoft have easily achived this although it has taken some slack in the developing stage for being rather ugly but i disagree as it is a really nice controller to play with. The wireless controller for the xbox 360 makes it easier and more enjoyable to play. It has a fairly long range, it is possible to play the xbox from the other side of the room. It is safe to say that the controller will get a signal as long as you can still see the tv enough to play it. This product is possibly the only reliable thing to come from the Xbox 360. If your anything like me, you dont trust wireless connections in the slightest (anyone with a wireless router and a mobile phone should know what I mean) but this little beauty is truely an amazing piece of kit. The 360 wireless controller is, in all ways, a very good little package to own for the avid gamer. Even a week into owning it I was still putting it down in that complicated way we have with wired controllers, trying to avoid the wires dangling into anything. The xbox 360 wireless controller is a great item to own; i use it to play games in bed, i can wlak around the house with it come back to my console and it is still connected. It does however turn off if you drop it, but then again you shouldn't be dropping it =D I use rechargeable batteries and so i always have some pre-charged ones on hand to replace them, but microsoft also have the "plug and play" ? kits so you dont need to run out of power for you controller during a race, fight, or even a hand of poker.

Advantages: extremely fast, seemless, easy to set up, stylish, with NO LAG. All for a reasonable price.
Disadvantages: none

This controller is amazing. The converson from wired controllers to wireless is seemless. There is nothing like going down stairs and picking up a packet of crisps, while still being able to hear your best mate chatting to you in perfect clarity.
