I bought the Microtek Scanmaker X6, aftter being a previous owner of a Mlcrotek scanner. I have an iMac with USB ports, this added to the ease of set-up of the scanner; a simple case of plugging it in and running the installer CD that it came with. It comes bundled with an excellent software package, including Adobe Photo Deluxe and the wonderful Coloult - one of my favourite budget graphic programmes. Advantages: Good picture Disadvantages: overheat some times
...went on line to the microtek site and searched for scanmaker 6 and they had the drivers right there on the site.
I like this scanner it has good picture. It is also a very quite scanner. There is one problem I have found with it and that is that it can over heat. To make it over heat you have leave it on for three or four hours. When it is over heated it won’t work but all you have to do is turn it off and then on. I would suggest this scanner to ...
