...got, he told me about Midnight Club and how it was probably best racing game on the market for ps3 owners. Once hearing this i was straight on youtube looking at the videos. Seemed very good, graphics were good, cars looked very good and gameplay seemed reasonably competitive to Need for Speed. Went into GAME and was looking at both games. Midnight club £24.99 i thought i'll buy this as it seems good and i can play my friend online. I've never looked ... ...cars ranging from a 1983 VW Golf GTI to a 2008 Audi R8. Graphics are phenomenoal in full 1080p HD. Made by Rockstar (Grand theft auto). Takes a strange racing approach where you dont take part in general races but have to do missions, For example (go the the burger bar and race Annie). On arrival it has a short clip which shows you talking to annie and basically gettin ready for the race which gives a more realistic view. Reasonably big city to roam ...

Advantages: Modification, Graphics Disadvantages: Car Handling, Getting Lost in Races, Too Many Buttons, Unrealistic
...My first experience of Midnight Club when the series began was a bad one and I have never been interested in playing another one since. But, I had heard a few good things about this one and gave it a shot. At first I was quite impressed with how the game started, the graphics looked good and the cars looked like they had quite good modification opportunities. However, my first problem was with the controls. The default is using the analogue sticks ... ...to the button configuration with R2 as the accelarator, which I again don't like. So I made my own button configuration with X as the accelerator and SQUARE as the brake / reverse. The problem with creating your own button configuration is that there are so many different things a button has to be assigned to, so I kept having to go through the menus to see what I had assigned to what. I couldn't be bothered noting them down, so this was quite annoying. ...
