I love this thing! It's compact, it doesn't lose suction, even when the bag is getting full, and it's cheerful to boot (I've got a blue one). You also get a filter when you buy new bags, so you'll never lose suction because of a clogged filter either. In addition, the tube is long enough, which is great, since I'm tall. A lot of vacuum cleaners give me a backache because the hose/tube is too short.

We struggled with a Russell Hobbs Cyclonic 1800 for some months and eventually took it back and got a full refund. It was useless as it couldn't even vacuum a small room without the filter having to be cleaned and the machine emptied. After checking ratings and looking at reviews we bought the (blue) Miele S 380 1800. It is absolutely great! It has more power than is often required, it is easy to clean and works a dream. It is also about half as loud as the Russell Hobbs (I usually used ear muffs for it!), it is light and easy to manoeuvre. A great little machine, good value for money and to be highly commended.
