Rich detail. Extraordinary color. That's precisely what you get with the DiMAGE F300. Its 1/1.8-type CCD has an effective resolution of 5.0 megapixels, which delivers highly...
more...refined images that are ideal for enlarged printing: 43.3 x 32.5 cm/17 x 12.8 inches at 150dpi, or A5-size/6 x 9 inches at 300dpi. For optimum color reproduction, three key features are included: a primary color filter, 12-bit A/D conversion, and Minolta's exclusive CxProcess image processing technology. High-grade Minolta optics harnesses the full potential of the powerful CCD. The Minolta GT Lens is an ultra-compact lens with 8 elements in 7 groups. It has 3 aspherical surfaces to suppress chromatic aberration and image distortion. Only lenses that pass the strictest quality standards earn the GT Lens designation, and are featured on cameras developed under the "Superior Image Quality" concept. Distracting specks of color can be a serious problem with many digital cameras, but not the DiMAGE F300. At slow shutter speeds, its highly effective noise reduction goes into action. Landscapes shot at night, for example, look remarkably clear as a result.

...repaired.After some enquiries,i found that Minolta has a repair Service Centre in Milton Keynes. You can send the camera to them at your expense but as the situation was urgent i took the 45 minute drive to the Service Centre. The Staff were very friendly, but told me there was a 2 week wait for the repair.I explained my situation and they were happy to twist the rules for me,and i was able to pick up the Phone on our way up to Scotland for our Holiday.Included ... One of the best value cameras.
Review of Minolta DiMAGE F300 by MattTheLegend

Advantages: Amazing picture quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: None

The minolta has stormed onto the market showing off its 5million pixels and 3 times optical zoom whilst maintaining a small shell! 5 million pixels? well each picture is broken down by little dots and stored digitally, these are called pixels, if there isnt enough pixels to fill the picture gaps form between the pixels causing a lack in detail(fuzzyness), so the benefit of 5 is you can have a larger picture! 3x optical zoom? well there is two ... Genuine quality photos from a digital camera
Review of Minolta DiMAGE F300 by colinlivingstone

Advantages: great quality pictures, range of options
Disadvantages: slow start up

...would not function. I contatcted Minolta but the estinate for repair was more than the cost of replacing the camera with a better model (the price of progress). I will miss it but the replacement is smaller, lighter, faster and has better quality - for less than my initial purchase price for this camera. ... Read review

sunny snapper
Review of Minolta DiMAGE F300 by highrider.com

Advantages: point and shoot simplicity with good results
Disadvantages: small lense doesn't allow enough light in so relies on the flash alot.

this camera is in its element when you are shooting in bright sunny climates. the standard settings are spot on for most situations when shooting out side in good conditions. if you have the patience the camera settings can be over ridden in manual mode and you can get very creative with your exposures. the only downer is the lense is quite small and therefore relies on the flash in low light situations and there is no hot shoe to mount and external ... a great all round camera
Review of Minolta DiMAGE F300 by choccy_orange

Advantages: good image quality, nice size, can be as basic or complex as you like
Disadvantages: not really that many! the av outlet has a rubber rather than plastic flap on it if i'm being picky

...s50. Basically I trust minolta more and after reading reviews decided it had a lot more features than the p12 and was smaller than the canon. I'd recommend this camera to anyone wanting a camera small enough to take everywhere but also with the manual features to be a bit more creative. ... Read review
