Advantages: Great looks, safety, great for countryside, ?space? Disadvantages: NON-economic, expensive, depreciates quickly
...decided on getting a superb Mitsubishi Shogun, wonderful car, I read, great to drive I heard. So I started to scavenge around the local Private Dealers, after all, I've got a bit of cash, and for that touch of perfection, I'd rather have perfection in life rather than a hell life of rusting nuts, so I got out, on my mystery search, to find "this" car.
Luckily, just a short walk away from my house, I find a dealer, who's got 1 Mitsubishi Shogun in ... ...steering is one to thank Mitsubishi for, and the great suspension, as well as the speed capabilities for such a large car.
The customer service from Mitsubishi, was not great, and could of been much better, they weren't easy folks to get in contact with, and when and if you did, it would be very, and I mean very, expensive, to get anything at all fixed with them.
The looks of this car, are brilliant, it looks big, and ferocious, but in the same ...

...Japan without official sanction of Mitsubishi Motors. They are almost identical to the Mitsubishi Shogun sold in this country for a number of years (1980’s-onwards), what the mechanical/electrical differences are I’m not exactly sure and it seems that the majority of people that deal with them aren’t sure either. The majority of ‘greys’ speedometers are in kilometres per hour, however ours has been converted to Miles Per Hour. The major difference ... ...equipment with the Pajero being far superior to the Shogun, depending of course on the specification level. The most obvious difference between Pajero/Shogun is the ‘greys’ colour scheme, with Pajero’s usually having a different coloured centre section. Quick review of Mitsubishi Shogun 2.8 TD
Well I bought a 1995 Mitsi 2.8 GLX T/D in Jan this year with 147000 miles for £1700 with a fully itemised dealer service history & I have found it to be utterly reliable and dependable
Its never let me down and yesterday I went to gatwick from swindon and at a steady 60mph cruise I got 35mpg
It flew through its MOT all it needed was a new exhaust the whole exhaust cost me less than £100 from Motaquip and my mechanic charged me £35 to fit it
I have bought all new tyres and got change from £200 so I think the other Numptys on here dont shop around to me its perfect and I wouldnt change it for some wheeled beancan that does 50mpg but compromises on appearance and safety ...

I was looking for a car that would tow my caravan with out a problem, that gave good fuel economy and that had a boot big enough for 2 boxer dog and all the luggage 2 kids need, I wanted a car with road presence that could also handle any unusual weather. I wanted a car that I could go out to the pub and also take the kids to the park, I wanted a car that was for the family that my wife could use this gave me all the above and more. Looked over all ... ...designs with small updates the shogun was the best looking of the bunch and with all the interior goodies leather seats tinted windows and extras it was a steal. If you do get one look at the black in my view the only colour for such a car looks so good when is sparkling clean. Would I recommend you? I sure would you wont get better for the money and should be worth more than others when you come to trade it in. six months in no complains. ...

I have a Pajero , this is the imported version of the shogan. We have had our Pajero for a few months now and I can only speak highly of it. I have four kids and the space in this vehicle is better than the mpv's , I had a toyota space cruiser, and when loaded up it had no room, I could not fit my kids and weekly shop in all at the same time, the boot space was a lot smaller. It has a lot of comfort extras, air conditioning for one, you may think ... ...my cruiser when you drove along the motorway like chicken in the oven you understand you do need air con. I cannot say my experience of the two car prices differ, the space cruiser parts were a lot more expensive and they are harder to get hold of, the tyre prices are the same, and the fuel economy is not much different space cruiser doing about 30/35mpg pajero doing 25/30mpg. The 4x4 part of my vehicle is not essential for my everyday use but We ...

Advantages: Good for off-road Disadvantages: High cost to run, not efficient
The amount of people using a 4x4 in the town just for driving about in is astonishing. Lots of middle aged women seem to buy 4x4's as some kind of a status symbol. I think that when they are high up in the driving seat of their 4x4 they feel important and above other road users. To be honest its pathetic. You see them drive somewhere, and they look like they're giving off the message 'I have arrived'.
As far as fuel goes, a 4x4 is less economical ...
