Willing Worker

Advantages: spacious, economical
Disadvantages: driver's seat

We first bought our Mitsubishi Space Wagon GLi - 2 litre petrol engine - in April 2002. At the time, we had a Rover 214SLi which we were very happy with, but we took on a business as 'the bookman' - leaving sample books and gift items with offices, factories, schools, etc, for a week and collecting and supplying orders a week later. We needed something to carry a lot of stock. First thought was, keep the Rover and buy a secondhand van. Then, we ...
...to drive to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer, who said there was a fault, but, as the light had gone off by then and the fault only involved something to do with the carburettor changing from electronic to mechanical control, no need to get it fixed unless the light came on and stayed on. It hasn't so far. So, in all, a very reliable workhorse vehicle. Over and above this, compared with normal cars, the Space Wagon has the height and visibility advantages ...

My dream machine

Advantages: We can go out as a family
Disadvantages: We can go out as a family, no excuses

Right, where do I start? My Space Wagon is a G reg.(1990), white 7 seater, that we have owned for just under a year. The car was bought second hand for £1000 , that said after a little, shall we say misunderstanding, the seller did pay for me to have a new clutch fitted, but that’s another op. The car is about the size of an average small estate car, the seats are fitted front facing in three rows, the two front seats been the usual separate seats, ...
...seats are two seats but would at a push fit three children. All the rear seats fold down to make a large enough area to fit a single bed, (I helped someone move house). The good thing I have found about the seats is that they are a little higher that the average car, making it easy for my older mum to get in and out of the car with out too much of a struggle. The handling is very easy for a car that you would expect to be difficult as it is fitted ...

Mitsubishi Space Wagon

Advantages: Reliable, Holds the road well. Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Not quite enough space.

We have had our Space Wagon for just over a year now, bought second hand in January 2006 for £1600. Car is M Reg. Comfortable seating, fairly spacious seating, could do with a little more space, especially the back seats and boot space is a little too small for me. Boot space is not big enough when the car is full of passengers i.e. cannot go food shopping with all the children as there will be no room to put shopping, Holds the road well. 150000 ...
