Keep in contact with the world
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
Servalan
Advantages: Cheap, works perfectly, good features, robust
Disadvantages: No special features
The Truim Mars is a small light little phone that came out about 2.5 years ago and was such great value that is still can't be beaten now.
For the last 2.5 years this phone has been everywhere with me, from school, to work to France to Italy (twice) and to university. It is the best value item I have ever purchased, can you name another item that you would take everywhere with you and use almost every day? No? For a girl in her late teens a mobile ...

Is there life on Mars
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
geoffduke
Advantages: Cheap light looks good excellent battery time hands free facility works really well in the middle of a table so several people can enter into a teleconference scenario
Disadvantages: Prone to intermittency if knocked about especially the antenna connection keylock does not prevent other keys from lighting up your pocket and draining the battery
I like this phone. It is small and stylish but it
lacks mechanical robustness so you need to take
care not to drop it.
The phone is aesthetically pleasing and works fine
apart from the occasional intermittency, which I
now seem to have resolved (see below).
There is no facility to load your own custom tunes on the phone, but I find the 'oriental' ring tone
quite pleasing.
Not being an expert ...

Small, Smart and Sexy
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
dan123
Advantages: wap, small, sexy, games
Disadvantages: fiddly buttons
I got the Trium Mars for Christmas and cost me a mere £35, which I considered a very good deal. There are many features of this small phone that make it good, which I will now go into.
WAP
This has to be one of the great plus points of this phone. At only £35 (on OPEN) this was the cheapest WAP phone available as far as I am aware, and I think it still is. Although much the hype about WAP was completely overstated, it can actually be quite useful ...

A phone for the future
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
em101
Advantages: Small, light, plenty of features
Disadvantages: Dodgy user manual
Trium might not be the trendiest of phone people, but they certainly build good phones.
I've always had an aversion to the mobile phone, considering it to be an intrusion into my life - I always thought that if I wanted to make/receive calls, I'd be at home able to use the landline. But Mother wasn't convinced, and got me a little phone about a month ago.
The phone has everything that all the other big name phones around at the moment have, ...

Small Phone...Big Attitude
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
xanadu
Advantages: Small, light and stylish. Offers many great features.
Disadvantages: The Internet access is very expensive.
When my daughter very recently had her Nokia 3310 stolen, I needed to get her a replacement phone. I did not want to buy another expensive phone in case the same thing happened again.
After looking on the Vodafone web page, my daughter decided that she would really like to have the Trium Mars. This phone is available on pay as you go, all calls and smartstep and priced at £49.99.
Last week myself, my husband and a couple of friends went on a ...

A phone that comes with its own condom
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
sheff22
Advantages: Very Cheep and has features that you woulnd find on more expensive models
Disadvantages: The keys are a little too spongy, and no snooze feature on alarm
I decided to buy a cheep Pay as you go phone as my Nokkia 5110 was stolen at the weekend and I thought for the £40 it cost I may as well buy a Pay and Go package till the insurance came through from my contract phone.
I only really stumbled across this phone by accident, you see my contract
phone was stolen at the weekend. when I was told it would take 3 weeks to
get my insurance money through I thought I may as well buy a cheep Pay and
Go phone ...

Little Bundle of Fun
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
PurpleFlower
Advantages: Easy to use, small, light, cheerful
Disadvantages: No instruction manual with phone
What a clever little phone the Truim Mars is !! After deciding my old phone was like something out the dark ages, I went in search of a new phone. I looked for something stylish, small and light, with WAP capabilities, and was delighted to find this phone priced as competitively as it was - I paid £49.99 from a local electrical supplier. The nearest competitor was almost double this price !!
I find it very easy to use. The WAP service is very easy ...

Gorgeous lil phone with so much to offer
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
Babytigerjess
Advantages: A cheap phone with many features!
Disadvantages: Not that I can think of... Well, read the review!!
...Mars. I have seen other Mitsubishi Trium makes before and have had a play around with them. They looked very snazzy indeed. I came by the Trium Mars however and this make was even better! It was small and very light compared with my Alcatel.
What intrigued me at first was that the phone was only being sold at a price of £39.99 UNBELIEVABLE! That is a real good deal as the phone has so many interesting features. I have now seen in shops however ...

Seasoned phone tester impressed by small Mars
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
kurowski
Advantages: WAP, vibrate, predictive text, easy menu, good screen, small size, changeable front and back parts, looks quite good, very good value, fairly solid, vast improvement on previous Mitsubishis. It's got all the features of a 3330.
Disadvantages: Keys aren't perfect, nor are key tones, and it has an aerial
I have just bought one of these phones, I have to say I feel I have got more than my money's worth. For £40 you would not expect to get a mobile that's not only got the usual features, but also WAP, vibrating call alert, games, T9 predictive text input and a menu system that actually works and is user-friendly, nor would you expect such a phone to be so small (although quite thick, it makes my 3210 look big). Furthermore, I had quite low expectations ...

The best WAP phone - Mitsubishi Trium Mars
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
crowbar2000
Advantages: Great value for money, lots of features, and it's got WAP!
Disadvantages: Can't compose ring-tones or graphics.
When i first got the Trium Mars the first thing to strike me about this phone was that it was so small and light - ideal for fitting into coat pockets and small bags. Another thing was the fact that you are able to change the keypad cover to suit you, so it comes with an element of personalisation. The phone itself has many features, including WAP, which I have found to be of use, especially when I am away from my computer and I need to check E-mail. ...

The Trium Mars is a fantastic little phone
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
mattt
Advantages: Fantastic value for money, lots of features, and it's got WAP!!
Disadvantages: Can't compose ring-tones or graphics
previously owned a Motorola am3180, but because of continuing problems and the fact that the phone isn't even MADE anymore, I decided to make a well overdue upgrade. I wanted to stay with Vodafone Pay As You Talk, who I've been with for over 3 years and who provide excellent service. Another factor to consider was that, if I'm going to bother upgrading at all, I might as well get my hands on the LATEST technology out there - yes, it's definetely got ...

Sleek, Smooth, Slim and very very Sexy
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
Sonatine
Advantages: Loads of features, light, compact, smooth, WAP, security features and loads more
Disadvantages: rubbery keys, limited & bland ring tones
How mobiles have changed over the last few years. From those huge brick-like jobbies and the huge suitcase sized batteries of the yuppy 80s to the slimline elegance of today's Nokia's & Ericssons.
And not only has the design of these phones changed, but so too the technology. These days you can get a host of functions on even a basic phone that you'd be pushed to find on a basic laptop computer or PDA from a few years back. Games, address books, ...

What a little smasher
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Small, efficient, cheap
Disadvantages: Sometimes a strain on the eyes
Ok so I’ve joined the 21st century and got myself a mobile phone! With my parents’ failing health and my love affair with the Internet I needed a way for them to be able to get in touch with me even when I was on line. I was considering another telephone line, when a friend suggested a mobile phone. That way I could be easily accessible even when I was away from the house.
I have never been interested in having a mobile phone so I had ...

UPDATE 3 Trium, phones, providers, tools of satan
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
paulgusta
Advantages: Light weight, small, stylish, read op
Disadvantages: Feels flimsy, battery talk/standby time issue, lack of SMS characters, turns itself off, read op
This is an old op, and since this lesson in pain I've bought a Nokia 3310
Like most of my ops, there's a story behind this. I feel as though I have to put it into context, so read on.
In the middle of January, I was going on holiday. I was hoping that work would have been kind to me and let me keep the phone I'd been using at work. I wasn't planning on racking up some huge phone bills - it was more of a security thing. Plus, the work phone ...

Another mobile phone opinion
Review of Mitsubishi Trium Mars by
Kingseany
Advantages: Works abroad, reliable, long battery life
Disadvantages: Expensive to use abroad
Being the age I am, I've seen mobiles evolve from bricks (even concrete blocks) to matchboxes. I remember the salesman at the company I worked for in 1988 had a huge thing, wasn't even sure what it was when I first saw it. Then in '91, I bought my first, it was a tiny Sony, so cute. Mobiles still being associated with the rich and famous, people all around me wanted to hold it, touch it and droll over it. Occasionally I'd let them make a call. A lot ...
