I bought my Moben Kitchen in November 1999, after being 'bullied' into a decision! I was really happy with the results despite the high price. Being disabled the salesman, assured me that I could get the VAT back. Nearly two year on and I still have heard nothing from them about this. Moben offer a complete service with all planning, designing, delivery and fitting included. Appliances come from companies such as: Neff, Leisure, Aga and Technic. ...

The Moben 'designer' who came to give us a quote was purely a salesman. He basically knocked up his 'design' in about 10 minutes using a pen and paper - think back of a fag packet and you're on the right lines. Go to a company like Magnet or MFI and you get a 3D design so you can really visualise what they have in mind. All the ideas we had were dismissed as being far too expensive, outdated or just not practical. A fridge-freezer? No chance. A ...

Wouldn't let the hard sale drop for a minute. Contradicting himself left right and centre but still wouldn't drop the act. Since then... my double oven has broken down twice... the first time took 6 weeks to get fixed and the second time we gave up and bought the element and fitted it ourselves. ...We liked the look of Moben kitchens, in particular the flexibility of the cabinets, so we eventually decided to go for one, despite the salesman "designer" chappie who came round. In the end I ended up designing the kitchen myself. However, we did like the look of the product and in particular the corner cabinets. Most awful experience of hard sell. Arrived at 10am saturday for '2hr appointment' did not leave until after 3pm. Continually 'trashed' other kitchen retailers. Felt salesman would not leave until contract signed, although pressured into wanting deposit on debit/credit card I only supplied a cheque which i latter cancelled as cancelled contract next working day but did not trust there staff - multiple letters and phone calls to cancel kitchen - that said didnt want it to begin with! ...

I had Moben out last Saturday (7th August 2004) to quote for a new kitchen. Rodney from Torquay seemed like a nice bloke. Price was a bit high but he said "have the surveyor out and if you don't like what he says then cancel. I need £100 deposit but promise you that if you do cancel the order we NEVER keep the deposit and you will get it back immediately. We gave him £100 but next day we decided against the new kitchen as £7200 was more than we could ...
...Friday 13th August (spooky) and Moben have cashed our cheque!!! Phone Manchester and they keep saying Becky is unavailable. Phone Bristol area manager and he too was not available. I booked an appointment with Moben Kitchens at the 2004 Ideal Home Show and was given a leaflet stating an offer of “50% off all kitchen ranges” and a “free dinner service”. The designer/salesman who came around was very helpful and not at all pushy, I liked the design and although the quote was a bit high I was happy with the design so signed up. I was recommended a Moben kitchen by my mother who had a kitchen fitted a couple of years ago. Although I was a bit worried by some of the comments on this website, I found Moben excellent. The quality is excellent and I found the whole service very good. There were a couple of tweaks that had to be made but that I think that is par-for-the-course with this type of thing. We found them excellent value and would have no problem in recommending them to friends! In fact, if Moben are still around in 20 years time I will probably recommend them to my own daughter! ...

The Salesman Pat came to our house one Friday evening and did a plan of our kitchen and offered practical advice about siting our appliances for the best fit, he offered us the best value cupboard finishes for our budget, if he was hardselling I didn't notice. He gave us time to consider the deal that was written up but we didn't falter ...

...Fitters are self-employed and Moben has no control over them or their workmanship. Our planned 5-day kitchen contract ended up taking 4 months to complete. Just one of the problems was that 17 of 22 cupboard doors were damaged as the original handles were not fitted straight. Moben had wanted to just straighten these badly fitted items on my solid oak doors and then fit a metal ring on the inside so that the drilled holes would not show. With a HUGE ...

They tried to insist that the original fitters come back to carry out the repairs but we were adament that they would not be allowed on site.
