...the kettle was missing. Morphy Richards can only suply replacement filters or counter cartridge. This kettle filters the water very quickly - much quicker that another well known brand I have tried at work. If you fill the kettle by swivelling the see-through section of the lid (without opening the lid) you can visually see how much water to put in.  Quick to filter and equally quick to boil. Advantages: Boils qucikly and quietly and better water quality than standard kettles.
Disadvantages: Not knowing how much water to put in the filter.

I purchased this kettle recently and am quite pleased with it. It was easy to get started and assemble the cartridge compartment. It boils quickly and quietly and i do notice the difference in the water quality. I would recommend waiting for some of the water to filter through before boiling it although it states you don't have to, i just found that the water wasn't really hot enough if you didn't do this.
