Advantages: Soooo easy to clean
Disadvantages: Bulky, takes up more room than a conventional fryer

...hope I stumbled across the Morphy Richards 3-in-1 basket fryer; it appeared to be everything I wanted. On first sight you have a large fryer. Inside are 3 baskets, one large, and two small. The beauty of this is you can use the large basket for your family portion of chips, but, if you are cooking a small meal for two you can use the two small baskets, one for chips, and the other for your fish or whatever else you are frying.
