The day I found mould growing on a yogurt...

Advantages: The Customer Service desk is - rather appropriately - located at the front of the store
Disadvantages: Staff are disinterested, arrogant, and keep you waiting/make you feel like you're to blame

...doubt rather long, story about Morrisons for all you lovely people. It touches upon their lax quality standards and (in)consideration for providing effective customer service. Er, and it's not very promising. Well, we do our shopping on a Thursday in my house, and so it was that I picked up some of Morrisons' low fat yogurts on this particular Thursday. I forget the regular offer now, but it's several of their Better for You (?) yogurts for a £1.50, ...
...so I would go to Morrisons first and I would show them this horrible stuff. It wasn't the cost, it was the principle. I wasn't looking to make a scene or to get anything out of Morrisons other than an apology. I didn't even want my money back for the price of this unfit-to-eat yogurt. But I did want to see some genuine concern expressed and a sincere apology uttered. I didn't think that was asking too much. I went straight to the Customer Services ...

The Meldrew's Go To Morrisons

Advantages: Some staff are better than others.
Disadvantages: Most don't seem to care much.

...miles away, and my nearest Morrisons is only 2 miles, I tend to shop once a week at Tesco, on Tuesdays, and top up from Morrisons if necessary. My local Morrisons used to be a Safeways until recently. Safeways range of goods wasn't as wide as my local Tesco, but Morrisons stock even less of the brands I prefer, in the same amount of space. Another thing I find annoying is that Morrisons seem to be on an economy drive with the number of carrier bags ...
...I sent my hubby to Morrisons early this morning, to avoid most of the Saturday crowds, to get a small amount of food for us. After the food had been scanned, he tried to use his credit card to pay, as he usually does. The cashier said the computer wouldn't accept it, and asked him to get cash. As he didn't want to pay the interest on a cash withdrawal on a credit card, he refused. The cashier called for a supervisor, who confirmed that the credit ...

The Big Black M - Beware Danger Ahead.

Advantages: it is cheap & on the doorstep....
Disadvantages: definately not as good as Safeway. -

...the alterations to our local Morrisons store. I wrote this review in 2005. Now 2008, at last something has been done about the WARNING COLOURS of the Morrisons that we knew, to be replaced by a lovely yellow background with deep green lettering. This looks so much better. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this change for the better.? I wonder also if the few words written here three years ago, had anything to do with the upgrade. I think that ...
...In their place are Morrisons own brands clearly marked with a Large Black M in a Yellow Circle. Everything wrapped in cellophane, in ammounts often too large for a small family. O.K. I will give them a try, I did, and I really wish I hadn't. Where is the quality, so they are cheap, but would I offer this cheap version to my family.? ..No. The fruit, once home, starts to rot. The bananas turn black within a day. Potatoes do the same. The carrots ...

Extras in the salad

...and i decided to visit morrisons to do some shopping.I decided due to the fact that it was a nice hot day i would buy some chicken and a ready made salad and chill . I cooked the chicken and opened the sealed mixed salad conpromising of salad, tomatoes, peppers, carrots etc.and sat to enjoy. ...caterpillar to visit customer services. On my arrival i went to the counter and spoke to 2 ladies and explained the problem, the one lady thought it was quite funny and said blimey you are lucky we usually find bluebottles in the sealed salad here,i pointed out to her that on the back of the container are the words 'this product is packaged in controlled areas 'or something to that effect and that i dont think that this is a laughing matter. The other ...

Morrisons Customer Services - By An Ex Employee

Advantages: Often Generous When Pushed
Disadvantages: Slow, Passed Around From Person to Person

...a spell of employment at Morrisons and I feel I should inform you of how the customer service in morrisons works. Normal complaints goto the person stood in the "Customer Services" desk normally situated in the foyer. It is one of the first things you normally see as you enter any morrisons. The person behind this desk isn't someone usually trained in customer services, it is usually an extra person from the checkouts who is checkout trained only. ...
...do not dress in standard morrisons uniform, they are normally in formal dress and have there full name on the name badge - normally employees have first name only. 3) If you are going to visit in store - Phone ahead. This will often help the time to process your complaint a lot smaller. Its not all bad thought, once you get through the initial problem of contact someone in authority, they are often very generous with refunds and replacing goods! ...

Quick review of Morrisons

Morrisons is the pits and there is no way of complaining except by snail mail somewhere up North. Having been run over by a Morrison employee with a large trolley (no apology given) I asked for a complaint form but after ten minutes they could'nt find one at the check out, supervisors desk or customer service. Today I waited 10 minutes at the check out because the lady in front had a £50 note. The staff are rude and arrogant please bring back safeway and if we had another supermarket here in Glastonbury I would certainly use it ...

More reasons to shop at...

Advantages: Get dealt with by a real person
Disadvantages: Not quite what their website promised

...talk to customer services at Morrisons to make them aware that some of their lids might have problems as I'm sure it wasn't a personal attack, and secondly so that if anything happened to the phone, I could claim. Their website (http://www.morereasons.co.uk) said that to contact customer services, either write, phone or go to talk to one of their "trained customer service representatives in every one of our stores ." I happily plodded into my local ...
...told "Oh, we haven't got one, you'll have to speak to one of the supervisors instead. There's three of them that are on the shop floor, but I'll try ringing for you first." So far so good, then I waited. And waited, and waited. The lady behind the counter that I originally spoke to had rung the bell for attention several times, rung up to the office, and finally someone came over. I briefly explained the problem, and the supervisor told me it wasn't ...

Morrisons V Safeway.

Advantages: Clean well lit shop.
Disadvantages: No stock. No variety. Not the cheapest supermarket in town.

Morrisons V Safeway. Well thats the debate in my local town at the moment. Safeway Nice happy staff with lots of BOGOF (buy one get one free) offers, store a little run down and dark. Free trolley. Morrisons Well lit well placed products, not so cheap and not so happy helpful staff even though quite confusingly some of them are the same!!! Not so free trolley. I went shopping at my new local Morrisons about a week after it had been re-opened. ...
...were leaving, they felt sad that that particular store had been taken over by Morrisons and not one of the other more staff and customer friendly supermarkets like Sainsburys or Waitrose. I'm not sure if I will return there to do my shopping-maybe if they have some good offers!! ...

The best supermarket I have ever shopped in

Advantages: Very cheap offers, freindly and polite staff, wide range of goods, cleanliness and tidyness
Disadvantages: Could do with longer opening hours

...a visit to my local morrisons supermarket - Welwyn Garden City i was pleasntly suprised to find not only everything on my shopping list but both freindly and polite staff who seemed too have a geniune intrest in the store. A far cry from the non english speaking and unhelful members of my local tesco - (Hatfeild) supermarket. In particular a member of the frozen food department was particullary helpful in locating my desired products, along with ...

How many real reasons?

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: Cluttered aisles

As Morrisons customers, we now have two types of store to shop in, core and convesion. As you might have guessed, the coversion stores are the old Safeway stores that simply struggle to carry the airy spacious core store range. Whilst trying its hardest to fit a litre into a pint container, this makes the shopping experience more of a nightmare at busy periods. Yes, they do have the deals that are expected from the Yorkshire firm, but if cant be ...
