Advantages Advantages Top graphics and fighting and great for on line gaming or playing with friends

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does get repetitive after a short while

Mortal Kombat 9 Xbox 360 Bought for £20 Bought From - CEX Mortal Kombat 9 The Introduction Most people who own a gaming console will have heard of Mortal Kombat as its one of the biggest games in the gaming industry. For those who haven't heard of this the game it's a 2D fighting that has 3D graphics meaning the fighters can only move forward, backwards in a straight line and can jump and duck. Most of the fighters have special powers some are able to freeze people some are able to shoot fire balls the general gift is that all the characters have their own special moves and combos. Graphics (& ... more

Advantages Advantages great fun, great graphics, amazing sounds,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very graphic and gruesome

When I was a kid, we still had the old Sega Mega Drive, and one of the games we used to play a lot was Mortal Kombat. I remember it being the biggest thing at the time, and all me and my friends used to play it all the time. As times went on things changed, including the gaming world, and it has now been many years since I played Mortal Kombat. A friend of mine recently told me that they were making a new Mortal Kombat 9 game, which would be available for the Xbox 360, and I was really excited to get a copy of it when it came out. I was hoping it would be as good, if not better than the ... more

Advantages Advantages Thrilling gameplay with inovative controlls, great new features and new grusome finishers.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Story is a bit too short, online play laggs

Mortal Kombat is a klassic franchise and with the let down with mortal kombat vs dc universe the new Mortal Kombat 9 really won it back for me. There are several different aspects to this game the story mode, the classic ladder mode where you particepate in the Mortal Kombat games and fight shao khan for his thrown and the Challenge Tower mode which there is 500 levels to work your way through. In the story mode you initially take on the role of the actor Johnny Cage, who has an arrogant and somewhat cocky personality that can really get on your nerves after a while. Fortunately, you play as ... more

3 Stars mortal kombat 9 reveiw for xbox360 Review with images 20/07/2011

Advantages Advantages story, moves, fatalites, and the characters

Disadvantages Disadvantages slowly gets boring, not a good online exerience, and story mode can sometimes feel to hard.

this game is a very good game at first. the story mode is very well executed and it has a nice story. i found a couple parts of the story to be very challenging and i had to use boring tactics to win. lets face it that's not fun at all. the other features like battle tower is fun but it will get old quickly. arcade is the same as always. pick a character and beat 10 other foes who get harder as you climb up the ladder. you can also battle in a tag team match which is fun if you have friends who also like the game. playing online takes along time to connect to the server and when you do connect ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great story mode

Disadvantages Disadvantages The Challenge Ladder can be hard to complete

Having been a fan of the franchise since its inception in 1993, it was interesting to see it return to its MK2/3 roots for Mortal Kombat 9.The game retells the story of Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 3. You start off playing as one character and then alternate, eventually ending up as Raiden. You can either choose to play through the 3 games which pits you up against some tough battles with 1 v 1 and 1 v 2 or you can pursue the retro "Choose your Destiny" ladder and try and overthrow Shao Kahn. There are some nice touches with the ability to play as Nightwolf, Sindel and Sheeva in reimagined 3D versions ... more

Advantages Advantages Great graphics, good fighting mechanics.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can get a bit difficult.

I didn't really expect to enjoy Mortal Kombat 9, because fighting isn't my genre. Except WWE wrestling. This game has convinced me that fighting games can actually be good, it's persuaded me to try out more of them. There are a wide range of characters, moves and abilities. All of which are very gory and satisfying. There are X-ray vision moves that actually show the bones crunching when the move is hit, the goriness actually makes this game a lot better. I don't like Tekken, because there is no feel of pain in it. But this really shows pain, fear and sadisticness. I personally love it ... more
