    Advantages Advantages Feature Packed

Disadvantages Disadvantages Shame none of them work very well -

Possibly the biggest phone you could buy on the market right now, you could be mistaked for thinking big is beautiful. With its fancy touch sensitive screen and mp3 player and video player and camera and...and...you would think this is the coolest thing to own. You'd be grossly mistaken. This phone is faulty, bugged to the hilt, difficult to use, awkward, clumsy and just downright irritatiting. Couple that with the damn awful service and coverage you get on the "3" network and the high that all the promotional material and features takes you on sends you into a heady dive for the ground. Which ... more

Advantages Advantages Good camera, video clips, MP3, expandable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Size and weight, surfing locked to 3

I already own an NEC e606 on 3, which I bought in April of this year, and was keen to see what the next generation of 3G mobiles would offer. The first thing you notice is the size of the box and quantity of components you get with the phone. Like the e606 before it, the A920 comes with 2 batteries, 2 power cables, handsfree kit, substantial manual and 3 services guide, CD ROM and USB cable. In addition this new model also includes a black phone cover sleeve, and desktop cradle - offering a slot to charge the spare battery alongside the phone itself. To my eye, 3G handsets are made to a higher ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Football Highlights; PDA functions; Decent Signal

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch Screen; Poor Battery Life; Re-Dialling

I recently went down to my local town on the hunt for a new phone at all costs. My old phone had taken a few bumps, so I thought it was time for a change. I went into the 3 Store and was shown the Motorola A920, playing a loop of several football clips. The clips looked extremely impressive, so after enquiring more into the price of the phone and the tariff, I bought one. When I got it home however, things weren't quite as I had hoped... The first thing I noticed was the fact that you are supplied with 2 batteries for the phone. A very useful idea as you can carry a spare with you in case of ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent MP3 player, good camera

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bulky, no bluetooth, short battery life

I have owned the Motorala A920 since Dec 03, I brought it because 3 have the best tarriffs of any network and the phone offered the best features. The Good - The phone offers numerous features which are as good if not better than any other manufacturers products. Excellent video and photo capabilities, the phone is provided with a 32mb SD memory card which can be replaced with a larger one if necessary so you can store as many photos/mps or videos that your budget will allow. The phone is easy to use once you get the hang of using a stylus rather than a keypad. The ringtone options are endless ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap network, pretty good software

Disadvantages Disadvantages network, huge, battery crap

Well then, I've had this phone for a while now. Got it free on three 750. I'll presume you are reading this review to find out more about the phone on three network. I could go on and on but I am going to try and cut to the chase. The phone will roam to 02 when losing coverage, this causes the dropouts. On three the service is ok. On earlier models you get no bluetooth infra-red but can lock the phone to 02 network, making much better imo. Or later firmware gives bluetooth support but manual network locks are not allowed. So it always jumps back to the three network. If, your a business person ... more

Advantages Advantages Functionality, call quality, better camera than most

    Disadvantages Disadvantages SIze, Battery

This phone has liberated my work. I find this integrated device fantastic. The phone call quality is very high and I have currently not had any problems with network issues that affect some users of the 3 network. The functionality of the handset is first rate with fully sync-able calendar and contacts with Microsoft Outlook, email that is quick. I find the spoon fed content of internet useless and it is a shame because this phone could do so much more, 3 network are just trying to make as much money from you as possible. The network tariff I am on is the 750 minutes for £35 and this is ... more

Advantages Advantages Screen size, mp3 & video playback

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life, buggy, size

I got the A920 free in November of last year when 3 were just starting to push themselves. I'm a real gadget freak and it looked to be just what I wanted from a phone - a combination of a mobile and a PDA. I really wanted it to be good (and I've had a few great Motorola products in the past) but it just isn't quite 'there'. Leaving aside all the problems with 3's network such as poor coverage and no Internet access, the phone has still been a disappointment. It does lock up or crash everyday, text messages occasionally don't go and I've never managed to send an MMS to anybody! The screen is ... more

Advantages Advantages You can club any would-be mugger to death with it

Disadvantages Disadvantages where do I start?

Due to a great offer on three's talk750 package, my fiance and I both signed up for these phones. For the first couple of weeks, the phone was ok, as long as you carry the charger around with you. If you don't carry the charger, expect about 20-40 minutes of talktime, and no standby before the phone looses the will to live. My phone started doing strange things after about 5 weeks, such as dropping the signal for no reason, and when dialling, it would lock up. I returned the phone to the three store in Oxford Street, London, where it was sent off for two weeks over Christmas to be reflashed ... more

Advantages Advantages functionality, integration with PC and MS Outlook

Disadvantages Disadvantages awful (repeat) awful 3 network in UK!

I have recently acquire the Motorola A920 phone and videotalk 750 tariff with 3. I have to say that in general I like the motorola. Obviously it has a lot of useful functionality and in time the web coverage and browsing will becomes its main features. Battery life is low when using the screen for long periods. In particular, I like the integration with the phone with mt PC enabling full transfer of all my contact details in MS Outlook which is great for business without carrying around a separate PDA. However my main issue is with 3. The network quite frankly is awful. I am still within my 14 ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of features, good show off potential

Disadvantages Disadvantages Massive size, low battery life

I got my a920 not long after the release of the 3g network and the choice of phones was extremely limited. When i first got the phone it took a while to get used to the lay out of the features and navigating the phone using the touch screen but it is relatively simple after a few confused hours. The most impressive feature is the size of the screen and its high resolution, playback on downloaded videos looks excellent. The handwriting recognition takes some time to get used to and will always be problamatic as you will have to learn how to write again as you discover what the phone needs you ... more
