    Advantages Advantages Cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the rest

If you’ve read my op about my Nokia 3310, you’ll know that I had to bring that mobile back to have it repaired, or should I say formatted. Anyway, while I’m waiting for my 3310 they gave me a Motorola c520. FIRST APPROACH When I held it for the first time, I couldn’t believe how ugly it was. On top of that it’s big and heavy. It feels like a receiver of a regular phone instead of a mobile. You better have big pockets if you want to take this mobile with you. And if someone calls you in the middle of the street… hide! When looking at the screen you’ll ... more

Advantages Advantages Its easy too use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Its too big

I recieved this phone at Christmas of 1999 and initially was very happy with it. I still have it now, 18 months later and have no intention what so ever of changing it. The phone is very simple to use. To start with, there is simply a big green button for yes, and a smaller red one for no and two arrows to scroll your way through the menus. It has the usual phone book feature, in which you are able to store 90 names and numbers, it also has a quick-dial feature, in which you store 10 numbers, and by simply keying in one number, you can access one of your friends. The text message feature is ... more

Advantages Advantages Heavy - makes a good paperwieght

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many to list.

This phone was free when I signed upto Everyday 50 eight months ago and you can tell why. Maybe it looks like a good phone compared to the bricks of the early nineties - its not. Its big, bulky, and dreadfully designed in terms of usability - the menu system takes ages to get used to. It looks dreadful compared to other makes such as Nokia or Ericsson. When you want to send a text message you can't access your phone book so you have to write numbers down. Even worse, when you receive a text message it doesn't tell you who its from. Unfortuantely my contract was for 15 months. I couldn't wait ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor design, poor functions, annoying ring-tones

This phone does the job, and is cheap. Apart from that its a poor and embarrasing phone that stays in my pocket while friends flash their Nokia 3210s and new WAP phones. The ring tones are annoying and ear-piercing, the functions non-existent, text messaging painstaking, and the phone is too big and heavy, lacks any sort of flair in the design and is frankly a bad phone. However, the pay as you go scheme from Orange is very good, although the calls are expensive there is no contract so you can just top up when you need to. Another problem is getting through to the service centre between 4pm ... more

    Advantages Advantages erm.......it's a phone I suppose

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's a brick and it doesn't make sense!

When I got my mobile, I was well chuffed, because it was my first one, and I didn't have anythiong to compare it with. I have since seen some of my friends phones which are so much better. These are namely the Nokia ones. The c520 is useless. It is a absolute f**king brick, and is heavy as hell. You should see the size of the battery inside! I'm pretty sure you could power a house off it, though it lasts a fraction of the ones in Nokia phones which are smaller! The operation of the phone itself is also stupid and illogical. Anyone who has attempted to write a text message will know this. I ... more

Advantages Advantages It is fairly simple to use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The size and shape of it are a bit out dated now.

I bought this phone over a year ago when I signed up to Orange Just Talk. The phone is now less than half the price that it was then and is twice as heavy as any phones that you get now. I have to admit, when I first bought it I thought it was one of the best mobiles phones you could get, I liked the shape, the size and the features available were good. My friend had the Nokia one that was out at the time, I think it was the nk702 or something, it has games and extra ring tones but I never liked it. I still thought that the Motorola c520 was better. Now they have taken out this Nokia 3210 that ... more

I sell Orange mobile phones and this is one of the worst phone sold in recent years. It's ugly. It's heavy. It has a It has a poor battery life and very poor talktime. This is not a phone to flash around, in fact I'd rather use a payphone than use this thing. The build quality is quite good (built like a tank) and if you are using it for emergencies, then it will suffice, otherwise there is nothing good I can say about it...poor menu system and difficult to operate the more complex functions...just avoid it totally. ... more

    Advantages Advantages It's cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Menus, reliability, tones, battery life, lack of features

The question I always ask myself when I think of this phone is why? It looks friendly and relatively cheerful when you see it on a display. But don't be fooled, beneath its friendly exterior lies pain. Lots of it. Its menus seem to be a hangover from the days of the bricklike 130 and 170 models. Scourge of early pay as you go packets. It would be easier to navigate London drunk and blindfolded than to look up anything on these menus. Everything is hidden five or six menus away and when you do find what you're looking for, its generally not worth the bother. The one I used broke down for no ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap and easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not many Features

I won't lie and tell you that its the greatest phone on the market but I will tell you thats its does the job its meant to do very well. It doesn't have all of the great feature some of todays phones have but if you just want a phone to use when you need to and allow perhaps you kids or family to get in contact with you if they need you then this would be perfect. There is hardly anywhere you can't get a signal, the sound its clear and it is extreamly easy to use. Its doesn't look too bad either. I think that this phone would be perfect for say a mum who's out the house a lot or for someone to ... more

    Advantages Advantages It's on Orange

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's aerial, the non-easy use, the plastic-look, the hard keys, the dullness

I bought this phone last November, and I thought it was great. How mislead was I? It had really hard keys which were a nuiscance and a big aerial which looked awful. I thought after a while I would get used to these features. But it got worse because it isn't very easy to use, and the ringtones are really bad. I do NOT think anyone should suffer the pain of this phone. You can buy alot better phones for the price this phone markets for (I think it's about £29.99). ... more
