Advantages Advantages First Class 'Hands free' performance Great stereo effect

Disadvantages Disadvantages Badly let down by drop ous whilst on the move.

The Bluetooth S9 headset retails at a around £100 and after about 3 months of use I am fairly well impressed with its performance. Tired of loops of wire and fiddly controls when using a hands / free? Then this is for you. Setup. After about 2 -3 attempts I managed to get a Bluetooth connection between Phone ( Motorola V8) and headset. This connection delivered a strong signal to my ears and made my play lists ( mostly light classical music with a few of Sinatra's offerings mixed in) really come alive. Stereo effect has a very slight bias towards the left hand speaker, but I'm putting that ... more

Advantages Advantages lightweight, sound quality, battery time, ease of use

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be a little to big although still comfortable

Motorola S9 Bluetooth stereo active headset I received this free with the new Razr2 phone and am really impressed with the quality of sound. Initially I had a perfectly serviceable old BodyGlove ear piece which came with all the usual issues like occasionally dropping out of a call, at times not being heard or not being able to hear and running out of battery quite quickly. I assumed this was the norm! Comfort The weight is very light (1.14 oz) and, if you have an average head size, sits very comfortably round the back of your head. The ear buds do not go right into your ear but sit just ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent sound quality, light weight

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None as yet

I bought a pair of these after I purchased an mp3 player that had Bluetooth connectivity as wanted to use them in the gym. I hate using wired headphones in the gym as the wire constantly pulls and gets caught and frankly I don't need anything to distract me and make me stop as let's face it I hate the gym! There isn't much weight to them so you hardly know that they are there and the main thing is they are really comfy to wear. They came with 2 different sizes of buds which is great as the standard ones never fit in my ears so the fact that these came with a smaller pair saved me from having ... more

1 Star Quick review of Motorola S9 Bluetooth Headset by John-o 22/09/2008
Good sound quality and stylish design, but unless you stay completely still when listening to music, this unit is totally useless. A major drop-out problem means you'll spend more time listening to spluttering pauses than actual sound. Didn't someone test this thing before they let it out of the factory? For most purposes, these headphones are completely unusable!

I liked my S9's. Drop-out is a problem but much more to do with the phone, I suspect. Low battery? Using a bluetooth dongle on a PC, my S9's gave me a range all around the house and garden. However my first S9's went back for this reason and the replacement was a bit better with respect to drop-out. Someone stole my pair so I am probably going to buy a replacement set because I miss them.

5 Stars Quick review of Motorola S9 Bluetooth Headset by michaleks 03/04/2008
I bought this item on eBay for the price of £24 P&P. I bought it to use it with my mobile, mainly when I go to the gym to listen to the music. I must say one of the best £24 that I have spent so far on product. This headphones are cool. Easy to use, comfortable and functional. So far cannot say much about battery life but used it for more less 3 hours and everything is OK (manufacturer says up to 6 hrs). Can be used with laptop, just need to buy spare adapter for my laptop, very nice. ... more

Advantages Advantages Amazing sound and bass quality, comfortable, light

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't work out with them since sweat could ruin the quality of sound.

First of all, I think Motorola is such a great brand, and these headphones prove it even more. The Motorola S9 Headset has such amazing sound quality, and the bass is absolutely the best! I'm a big bass guy and I have yet to find a pair of headphones that can totally satisfy me with great bass quality, until now. I've had the S9's for about 2 years and i LOVE having no wires. The bluetooth syncs so easily with my iphone 4. If you have the original iphone-iphone 3g, then an adapter is needed since bluetooth 2.0 isn't in those phones. The controls on each ear are extremely easy to use. As a call ... more
