Advantages Advantages Few beyond that of a basic phone

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quirky, not that well thought out

It's hard to be anything but indifferent about this phone. On paper at least, it ticks all the boxes; small, lightweight, reasonable build quality, colour screen (why?) Voice, text, data, web, Java, polyphonic ring tones, name it, and it's probably featured, but somehow when it all comes together, it's just a bit lacklustre. Motorola tried terribly hard to convince us all it was as cool as it comes, even enlisting former Manchester United star David Beckham to provide an apparent endorsement. Remember the TV ad where he's seen playing the motorcycle game in the supermarket checkout queue? Yeah ... more

As time goes by we all know that whatever Mobile Phone you have is going to go out of fashion - or if you go on a new contract a lot of the time you’ll find that the only way to get it is to get a new handset with it - so even if you want one or not - you get a new phone, the latter happened to me when I ended up getting my Motorola T720i, but nowadays when I look back - I’m glad I did. So then - what sort of stuff can you expect to find on the T720i then? Well rather than just give you a big jumbled up paragraph - here have a bullet-point list: * Functionality * Wap Browser * Polyphonic ... more

    Advantages Advantages Looks lovely

Disadvantages Disadvantages Are there any. i think so, not enough space to list

I was looking for a new mobile that’s not an embarrassment. It had to do a few things for me: Being an image conscious teenager I wanted a nice flip phone: check. It had to have a colour screen and polyphonic ring tones: check. It had to have a camera: check. It had to have a speakerphone (despite knowing I would never use it): check. The Motorola T720i seemed to fulfil all that I could ask for in a phone. Or did it… ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬PRICE¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ I managed to get this phone with its camera, sim free on ebay for £130, though you can get it for £180 brand new in the shops. Is this a good price? I ... more

Advantages Advantages Good mix of features

Disadvantages Disadvantages No camera on board, Screen poor quality, Build quality bad etc

The Motorola T720i officially reaches its 7th birthday this quarter. Having been released in Q4 2002, it is now virtually completely obsolete but can still be seen in some films depicting the early 2000s. At the time of release it was a successor to the T720 phone, virtually of the same specification. --- the BASICS --- The T720i is a clamshell phone. It has 2 screens - 1 outer black and white screen and 1 inner colour screen. The phone supports basic mobile phone functions such as making and receiving calls, sending text messages in addition to more advanced but optional features such as MP3 ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smart and Stylish!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite tinny and flimsy!

I have had my Motorola T720i for about three months now. I wanted a phone that had a flip front and a camera so I was pleased when I was offered it free with my monthly tariff upgrade. I got mine from O2 website but I have seen them available for all types of prices, from £50 - £180, all over the place. Ebay seems to be a good place to look! When it arrived my pleasure became a delight. The small shiny little phone with colour screen and flip cover. It also has a screen on the top of the phone, for when it is closed. This shows the date, time and battery charge. There is a flashing light in the ... more

Advantages Advantages Colour Screen, WAP, SMS/EMS, Flip, Relatively Cheap, Stylish, Java games, its a Motorola!

Disadvantages Disadvantages No intergrated digital camera, no MMS, ringtone volume too low

Being in the market for a new mobile phone for three months there wasn't really anything out there that tickled my fancy, enter the Motorola T720. This stylish clamshell flip phone, from the masters of the flip, is Motorola's first colour flip phone to be released. And being a teenager I wanted this phone because it is stylish, otherwise I'd hold onto my Nokia 3210. Here comes fun: Motorola T720i Review Colour Screen: Motorola made a smooth transition from monochrome to colour. Now that I've experience the wonders of a colour screen theres no going back to the bland and boring monochrome ... more

Advantages Advantages large colour screen, large keys, good battery life

Disadvantages Disadvantages keeps on breaking, quite ringtones, annoying text input

When i decided to get a new contract i was set on buying a nokia, however i was swayed buy the looks and value for money of the motorola t720i, as it was the most expensive handset free on my contract. After owning the phone for 3 months here is my opinion of it Likes The fone is very stylish and does promise interchangable covers (although good luck finding them anywhere). It is a feature packed fone which is great if like me you like your gadgets, a few of the main features include: polyphonic ringtones downloadable java games and applications voice activated dialing gprs changeable wall ... more

    Advantages Advantages Small

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cuts Out & Turns Off! Not Enough Memory. No Bluetooth or Infra Red

What first appealed to me was the small size of this phone and its flip colour screen. However, the colour isn't as nearly as good as the photo they show in the shops. It's pretty poor colouring :( The major problem with this phone is that it simply cuts out. Whenever I load Wap or a game, it freezes and goes all black. I've had this mobile a year now, and it’s braking! Not very durable. The microphone is fading. Sometimes the person at the other end of the phone call cannot hear me, and hang-up because they think there's no one there... annoying! Also, the aerial is unreliable. It shows no ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, fun and compact

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Only one game

I was lucky enough to receive the Motorola T6720i as an upgrade package. I was a bit wary of getting a Motorola as the ones I've had in the past have been very basic and not much fun to use, but I needn't have worried with this one. A flip open phone; it comes with all the usual stuff, date manager, alarm clock, calculator and a pretty nifty game called MotoGP which is great on the colour screen. Would have been better with sound though. There are a lot of polyphonic ringtones with room for downloaded ones too. The interface is easy to navigate, and I found there were several wallpapers to use ... more

Advantages Advantages i suppose it looks quite good

Disadvantages Disadvantages its just not quite there

Its a very basic phone, but its not great even then: The Phone It is a relatively light, sleek design, and attracts many people as it is a flip phone. The flip does not only enhance the appearance but also makes the phone a very good shape to talk into. However, as soon as you want more than a phone it stops. You can talk, you can send text messages, but it almost ends there However, it is part of the colour screen trend, and the keypad is easy to use for text messages. The special Features The lack of special features is the let down to this phone. It is java enabled, so you can play MOTO GP ... more
