    Advantages Advantages Compact and Stylish!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Lacks Substance!

Now call me shallow, but I like good-looking things. Cars, clothes, jewellery, men. Oh, and mobile phones! And (like the phone whore I am!) looks are exactly what drew me to the Motorola V220. This tidy little flip-phone certainly looks the part. In its closed state, it stands at only just over 3 inches in height, with attractive silver casing, an LCD screen with time display and neatly placed camera lens encircled by a little disc of chrome, making it a very stylish looking little chap indeed! Flip this phone open and there is a compact colour screen, generous sized keypad with illuminated ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life

Ok, this is my first review on a mobile phone and I see so many come through that appear as if the writer simply can't be bothered and expects to get ratings for it. First of all I am starting off with a rant and a small review similar to what people write these days and then move on to a proper review of my phone. Sorry if it's a bit long winded. *** A typical Phone Review *** I was looking for a mobile phone and came across quite a few cheap ones that seemed fairly good until I saw this Motorola V220 for £50. It comes in either silver or pink and may even get freebies with it. The phone is ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quality,

I got this phone last August free from my telecommunication provider. I think when I got it was fairly new on the market. But as you all know the market moves that fast. So what does the phone give you~ **Looks*** The is a stylish little phone, mostly silver in colour with a dark screen on the front. The ariel is a light grey colour which stands out from the rest of the phone. On the front of the phone you also have the camera lens which is a lovely silver if kept clean, along with the Motorola logo(M). **Design** The design of this phone is relatively good in comparison to many other Moto ... more

Advantages Advantages Great basic phone, has lasted ages

Disadvantages Disadvantages Little other than basic functions

I should start by saying that a lot of my opinion is based on a comparison with a newer, similarly basic, Samsung mobile phone that I have recently bought to communicate with my eldest daughter on a different network. My old phone is really still my current one. I bought it in May 2006, and the Orange shop salesman saw us coming - I think it was already old stock even then. However, although he may have been relieved to shift the box out of the store cupboard, I have been very impressed with this simple phone's reliability and performance over the four years that I've had it. First of all ... more

    Advantages Advantages Style, Size, Weight

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quality of sound whilst on a call

I got this phone in August 2004 as a present at that time it cost £159.99. I believe it was bought from Phones for you. This phone replaced my Nokia 3210 which I had for years. Being only 16 I go through mobiles like nothing on earth, always losing them or dropping them which cause's a lot of damage. The Motorola V220 is the first phone that I have had with a built in camera, It's a stylish phone silver in colour, its very light in weight and is overall a very small phone. Once you open the flip up you are greeted with what looks like a lot of buttons, but to be honest its just your standard ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, lightweight and easy to carry

    Disadvantages Disadvantages limited features

The motorola v220 is a reasoably priced phone, its not the top end of the market, but if you're after a simple phone its ideal. Physical Size The phone itself is small and lightweight. This is helped by being a clam shell design. When closed it will easily fit into your hand or a pocket. The aerial on it however can get in the way. I have had to have my aerial replaced twice due to snapping in my pocket. Features. The phone itself isn't full of features. It does however include: - a camera - polyphonic ringtones - java games - WAP - alarm clock and usual office functions The phone came with ... more

    Advantages Advantages Its tiny!!!!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages n/a

Something had to go - my handbag just couldn't take any more technology... my Ipaq in it's shiny metal case and my large, old Nokia mobile took up so much space I couldn't fit my purse in. New handbag? No ... my mobile kept switching off at strange times so I made the decision to buy a new one! The Motorola V220 is a tiny flip phone measuring 9cm X 4cm when closed - although when open it displays a set of keys large enough to depress without catching your finger on the next key,a screen with easy tab menu icons and two 'soft' keys which can be adapted to the function of your choice. One of the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Small and compact

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Small memory space

I must admit that when I purchased this phone I got it by default. I wanted to become part of the brand new (at the time) Tesco mobile network but their range of phones was not very large (about 5 different handsets) and as I wanted a "flip phone" the Motorola V220 was my only option. At first when I was looking it up on the internet I was not overly taken by the looks of the handset, in fact, I hated the large mirror-like thing around the camera but the looks grew on me and £130 later I was making my first call. I do have to say however that I still do not like the look of the mirror and I ... more

Advantages Advantages Small size, mp3 ringtones, java games

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small memory for pics, songs and videos, small screen

I'm not a very lucky person when it comes to mobile phones. Having gone through about 4 in the last two years and my Panasonic GD87 deciding to cut out on me, I decided it was tme to get a good, sturdy (unbreakable!) phone. Looking on the Virgin Mobile website I noticed a few phones that look my fancy but ringing the order line I was told many were out of stock but the saleswoman said she could offer me a Motorola V220 at a cheaper price of £34.99 for my inconvenience. What a bargain!!! Specification = Size: 86 x 44 x 24 mm Weight: 100g Internal Memory: 1.8 Mbytes Tri-band V220 includes: ... more

SexyYoungGod (AKA) Dom has told me to write about this phone. DOMS TEXT - You will probably fall asleep, If you do send me your paypal address and i will send you some loss of earnings money for doing so. ... Only Joking!!! On with the review: COLOUR & DESIGN ---------------------------- The Motorola V220 comes in black, silver and pink. I have a black phone which is the best colour. The design of the phone is pretty cool. If you are accustomed to flip phones then this is the phone for you. It is pretty light weighing in at only 3.7 ounces. It is the 2nd lightest phone from Motorola. In my ... more
