Advantages Advantages Design, size, build quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Useability, lacking some features

To explain the title, it's a phone which will mostly be purchased for its design, rather than it's features or functionality (yes I know I'm opening the way for a torrent of abuse from Mac users!) I took delivery of my new v.60 two weeks back and had to send the first one back because of a dodgy battery, it wouldn't hold it's charge. I've previously been a big Nokia fan with a couple of Panasonics along the way, I still have a 6210 which I use for work but I wanted a phone that was small enough to fit easily into my pocket on a night out. I originally considered the Samsung A300 but felt that ... more

Advantages Advantages good battery life, great service

Disadvantages Disadvantages lack of features or extras

If you have this phone and your excuse for getting a new one is "when this one goes nuts, I'll get a new one" then I am afraid you shall be stuck with this phone for quite a while. With all the cellular phones out there, this is truly a back-to-basics model. Classic black monochrome dot matrix display, this phone was one of the first phones to boast an "external LCD". Back in 2002, when I first purchased this phone (for the same price I purchased my V3 Razr, incidentally), it was THE phone to have - somewhat like when the Razr first came out, too. In terms of features, it is extremely basic ... more

Motorla V60, Brother of the earlier models V66 (Yes this came out 2 months earlier!! ) and of the V50. Before you buy it think about this. I purchased a V60 and a V50 to that matter and now I have a Nokia here's why..... With all of the V Series mobile handsets, the screen goes faulty within 3 months. The display appear distorted sometimes it looks as if the screen is 'bleeding' Of course as you may be aware, items such as this will have a warranty. Well upon calling Motorola I was informed that the warranty included collection and delivery of my handset by a company called Initial CityLink ... more

Advantages Advantages Sexy looks, Outer screen can display sms, Metal casing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes time to get used to, No infra red port, Hinge feels loose

Wait, don’t buy yet! If you choose a phone on its looks alone then this may not be phone for you. I had a V60 for nearly a month whilst I was waiting for my Ericsson T68 to arrive and had a choice of keeping this phone or swapping it for the T68. I decided on the T68 and here is why. FIRST IMPRESSIONS This phone has a ‘flip’ design pioneered by Motorola with the Startac and then the V series. I haven’t owned a Motorola since I had a V3688, which was the smallest phone on the market at the time. As with all Motorola flip phones I have used the hinge is a little loose and ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, compact, easy to carry around.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not many features, difficult to get used to.

The Motorola V60 has looks good at an affordable price. It has a strong metal casing making it durable (I have a habit of dropping mine) and doesn't even seem to scratch. With regards to features, well, it has everything you need and probably more, but let's be honest, most of us with our busy lifestyles use only the main functions anyway. from the menu the phone options are easy to navigate to and, although they take some getting used to, it's worth the time taken. I was worried that the handset buttons would be fiddly at first, but I've found this isn't a problem. One thing that did ... more

Advantages Advantages Small and easy to navigate

Disadvantages Disadvantages The ariel is touchy and not many accessories

I Bought a motorola v60 a while ago and I work in the mobile phone industry.I got the handset mainly for its look, because the phone is small, but not too light and very stylish. Having always been a fan of the flip phone, this one suits my needs very weel, the menu navigation is easy and brings things to your attention without you having to look for them. The v60 has a good stsnd by time, around 160hours but the talktime is not so great. The handset has WAP,GPRS and radio ability as its best traits althought he radio can only be used by buying a £45.00 accessorie. The gprs is good and the mobile ... more

Advantages Advantages small and looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages not a lot of functions

Recently it seems as though i have gone through a whole load of phones due to myself breaking them. My parents recenlt bought me a motorola V60 after they got sick of me borrowing everyone elses phones. The Motorola V60 is a small phone, it's quite cute and functions well. It has WAP available and e-mails can be sent from the phone. Compared to other phones such as Nokias etc i found this slightly more difficult to get used to using The Key features of the Motorola v60 are WAP (over GPRS) Dual zoom display with blue backlight (96x64 pixels on main screen) Predictive text messaging 64 ringtones ... more

    Advantages Advantages looks,wear,weight and size

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Lacks many features

First of all let me explain the advantages of this phone. It's compact, though quite bulky as it flips up. It's lightweight, and the wear on it is brilliant( mine was once run over by a car and had barely a scratch on it plus it still worked). It also has internet if you can be bothered to set it up. The main problems with this phone are the lack of features which you get on a normal phone. You cannot get graphics on this phone, and the ring tone composer has only 6 notes and is extremely confusing to use and it is almost impossible to make a decent ring tone on there. It seems like a bargain ... more
