...bought a nice shiny new Motorola V70 last week and the number of people I’ve heard saying “oohhh” since is unbelievable and the better half hasn’t complained either.
I bought my phone via Cyren-Communications.co.uk which is on a previous Op if you fancy a look.
The Motorola V70 was released in the UK on the Orange network in April this year, yes only a few months back…
True it only cost me £10 on a £25 per month mobile tariff with Orange, but ... ...I think that of all Motorola Phones. It does have EFR which is essentially Digital call Clarity.
It’s good that you can see who is calling before you rotate the bezel as the top section has a glass partition. You can press the ignore button and stop the call before you open it and divert the caller to the answerphone.
You can change the bezel ring on the phone to another 2 colours and these are available from Motorola only from what I’ve seen, ...

Advantages: Small, light, stylish, rotating cover means no keypad lock, composer, multiple features. Disadvantages: Small, close together buttons, a little fiddly.
...have recently changed to a motorola v70. This is the first motorola phone I have owned. In the past I have had a Nokia, an Ericsson and a Philips Savvy. I am not one of these people that follow trends and I don't have to have the latest model, I just fancied having something that was smaller and lighter for a change. It was time for a little treat.

There is so much to look through that it took me a while to familiarise myself with it's functions. Once I had mastered it though, it was simple to use.
Entering names and numbers on this phone is simple. You just have to decide whether to store them on the phone, the sim or both.
Texting on this phone was alittle awkward to begin with, The ...

...main features you'd expect from Motorola as well as some new one's.The fact that it has the capacity to hold up to 590 names and numbers is a god send.No more carrying scraps of paper around in my wallet which nine times out of ten end up unreadable anyway. It has interchangeable lenses and bezzles so you can change the look of the handset to suit your mood.
It has a unique revolving cover which rotates through 380 degrees to reveal the keypad which ... ...to use, i'll say.The main menu functions on the V70 are customisable so you can make it even easier to use.And if like me you have a brain like a sieve the diary and calender functions come in dead handy.
With 32 ringtones or vibrating alert and the option to compose your own you can make this phone not only look good, but sound good as well.
The WAP function is a good way to send and recieve information at the touch of a button and of course you ...

Advantages: More curves than Kylie Disadvantages: Chubby digits beware! Rubbish games- about as much action as tantric sex!
As Phil Mitchell would say, I love my motor'. Before this my list of exes included a Phillips Savvy and a Nokia 3330. Having the Savvy was like losing your virginity to a 21 stone momma. It was garish and chunky, not something you really wanted to show off. The Nokia was a little more slimmed down, but everyone had a Nokia back then; I wanted to be a little different. The first thing that struck me about this phone was its size and weight, this is ... ...a credit card and weighs only 79 grams. It has a sort of keyhole design, only with a stubby aerial protruding from the top. The finish reminds me of the sort of brushed aluminium that was in vogue with stereo systems a couple of years back. The phone's design is quite different from other non-brick phones. It doesn't utilise the familiar 'clam-shell' approach, but instead has a rotating ear piece that has the screen as it's pivot. This opens to reveal ...

Advantages: Good Looks & Great Features Disadvantages: Voice Dialing needs repeats
...nice sleek stylish model called Motorola v70. As I was aware that Motorola is a giant organisation in the telecom sector, I was sure that their products would not be too bad. I talked with friends. Very few had anything like a Motorola except for one of my mates who had a v50, which is an older model of the v70 machine. I got a good review of the same and there I go. I am now a proud owner of the v70 model. As I have been using it for the past few ... ...As many of you may be interested to know about the features that this beauty has, let me talk to you about some of them
Specifications are Weight 2.9 oz, Width 1.5 in, Depth 0.72 in, Height 3.7 in and all this is along with the battery. You will thus understand how small and sleek this model is. It has additional features, which I find quite useful such as voice activated dialling. This is a good feature. However, there are quite a few times that ...

Advantages: very compact Disadvantages: lack of features compared with all the new phones.
When I bought this phone it was great – compact and reliable for what I needed it for.. that was before I discovered a few weeks later the introduction of the colour screen and built in cameras phones. I have to say that its extremely light weight, and compact to use, and requires only one hand to operate. The pivot of the cover is an excellent feature and baffles everyone who picks it up. Pleasantly Surprised I found the cover is quiet durable, ... ...loose. I have had no problems with it for the year that I have had it and its stick quite happily ticking away. The phones have its basic features like games, address book, send and received calls and messages, with a big drive on which to save data. Everything is where a user who has used a phone before, would expect it to be. The battery is ok.. but doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. The cover and more importantly the whole phone is durable ...

Advantages: Small, lightweight, Disadvantages: Now senile - battery warning tone when on silent!
...whilst on silent? Most other Motorola phones do not do this, so I am wondering if there is an overly complicated method of rectifying this. The only drawback looks wise is the protruding aerial, which doesnt match the design at all. In terms of features there are a couple of games, such as a 'pong' style game with the motorolla symbol and black jack (which really helps pass train journeys!) One last thing, it refuses to accept other SIM cards from ... ...phone on contract was free last August (2002) and the few retailers that still offer the phone list the price as free, yet to see any where other than Argos offer the product on Pay as You Go or similar system (it was around £150 in Argos). ...they are quite small. The Motorola V70 has a stylish small design with a 360 degrees rotating cover so it does appeal more to the younger generation as it is more a fashion statement than a mobile phone, but overall the Motorola V70 is a great mobile phone and is definantly worth buying even if it is just to show off down the pub! ...
