Advantages: good value for money, easy to user Disadvantages: battery time
By the end of this month, I will have this phone for 18 months. And it's time to write a review on it.
I bought this phone from 4U store on 18months contract at 3G network. Before that, I was using a pay as you go phone. At that time the main reason to buy this phone is because the cheap price and free talking minutes every month. On the 18 month based contract, I pay 15 pounds per month for the first 6 months and then at the end of that I got around ... ...pay 30 pounds a month. For these price, I got 500mins voice talking time and 100 text message per month. And 6 months later, I changed my price plan as there was an offer at that time. I have been using it at 30 pounds a month for 750mins voice talking, 50mins video talking, 150 text messages, 50 picture messages and 5 pound free download to games, ring tones, songs or anything provided by 3. Somebody may laugh at me and say that's not cheap at all. ...

...I hadn't had a Motorola phone since the Flare was out many moons ago, but remembered them fondly, so thought I would give the V975 a go.
The phone itself is a flip, which is essential for me as I had a nasty habit of accidentally dialling numbers when the phone was in my pocket (the phone lock not appearing to work for me.)It is coloured in multi-tones of silver, with a camera lense in the top left hand corner and the screen central to the phone.
... ...nowhere near as long as Motorola claim. Standby of 145 hours? I don't think so! More like 72 hours standby, though 130 mins of talktime is a little more realistic, it is still wrong. I would say you get about 90 mins talk time but have not yet checked out the video calling time as video calls are so expensive!
3 do offer some great packages on contract though so if you can find the phone you want I would definitely go with 3. As for this phone though, ...

Advantages: Solid Star Trek phone Disadvantages: Atrocious battery, complicated menus.
...to replace my good old Motorola V975. Even though I've only had the phone for 9 months it is already something of an antique. Nowadays many people change mobiles as often as they change their socks and a mobile that was quite swish a few months ago is now almost obsolete. That's not why I am changing mine; I would rather sit on a sharp stick than do anything for reasons of trend or fashion! As much as I love this phone it has aspects to it than I ... ...On opening is the classic Motorola keyboard and a very large screen which is the saving grace of this phone for me. I like large screens because of my age related myopia.
Menu navigation is operated by a directional pad and two choice keys at the top end of the keypad. There is also a specific menu key and a key which takes you straight into WAP, which can be a little dangerous and expensive if you press it by accident and don't stop the process ...

Advantages: Decent Size, Smart, Fairly Feature Packed, Expandable Memory. Disadvantages: Limited Connectivity, Looks May Not Appeal To Some, No Sound Recorder.
...many companies (like NEC and Motorola in the past) have gone for remote control size or 'bricks'! It was nice to see that Motorola overcame the flaw. It has video calling and messaging capabilities. It can also be used as an mp3/music player, which I will explain about in detail later. It is also a good device to use and very easy to use as well. There is an external camera and an internal one too. This is for use with video calls. There is also ... ...a sound recorder on previous Motorola phone which was surprising. However, I personally, don't have a need for it so I don't need to complain much. The final available option is Themes which you can set for your phone. However, there aren't any preinstalled which is a slight let down as I don't know where to get any from!
4. Games & Apps
This is the exact same thing which is described in the Multimedia section so for more information see above.

Advantages: Colour graphics are of a high quality. Disadvantages: Too many to mention!
When I switched contracts from Vodafone to 3, I was given this mobile. At first I thought it looked very impressive but you really should believe the old adage that looks can be deceiving! I cannot wait until my contract is due for renewal again so that I can get rid of the blessed thing! I am now going to list all the things that I have found fault with since owning the 'phone. Make sure you're sitting down, it could take some time!
Firstly, the ... ...means you cannot quickly transfer your numbers etc. from one handset to the other, you have to manually input them. When you have over 100 contact numbers to input, this is incredibly annoying! It also means your friends can't send you images, tunes etc. without paying for it - and they're not so keen to do it then!
Secondly, the alarm on the 'phone only works when it wants to, or so it seems. If you are charging the 'phone over night and leave ...

...idea of what features the Motorola offers. I have been using one on both the Orange pay as you go, and on the Three monthly tariff, and have been very happy with almost all aspects of this phone. It is neat, smart, easy to use, and seems to be very reliable. The camera quality is nothing to shout about, but better than no camera at all on those spur of the moment snaps.
The screen is clear and bright, and the menu's easy to follow.
Battery life ...
