5 Stars Tempting, Tangy...its the Toffee! Review with images 13/06/2008

Advantages Advantages delicious, low fat and calories, filling

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Aspartame

When I was younger, I loved sweet yoghurts; Mississippi Mud Pie was one of my favourite after-school fillers! Though as I aged, my taste preferences matured with me, and I turned to more fruity yoghurts. However, I was still tempted to try the Muller Light Toffee yoghurt, especially since the image of the toffee square on the foil lid looked so delicious! At the time I first purchased this particular pot, Asda had one of their mega deals on, so I decided to take just one of the Toffee options and add it with the rest. I didn't know what to expect from it, but I hoped that it tasted as it said ... more

Advantages Advantages Taste of toffee without the calories of toffee

Disadvantages Disadvantages quite a mild taste

I am nearing the end of my two six packs of bargain muller light. For anyone who didnt read my last op I got two multipacks of six yoghurts, half vanilla and half toffee for £1.99 in Sainsburys. This is a really fantastic bargain as usually at the most you can buy 3 single pots for a pound on special offer!! Anyway I thought it would be a sin to finish them all without telling you about the other flavour in the pack - toffee. Try not to worry I have not read my last muller light op for a while and therefore this one shouldnt come out too similar, and I will probably not get around to trying ... more

Advantages Advantages Ideal healthy and tasty slimming food

99% fat free, deliciously healthy dieting treat that looks and tastes superb with virtually no fat and only 106 calories for a mighty 200g pot - The packaging is attractive with creative use of colour and art work, the yoghurt itself also has good colour and aroma and is definitely appetising in appearance. It is smooth and light with good texture = a real winner for me in the yoghurt stakes! This is easy to find in most high street supermarkets, the retail price is in the region of 36p but there are usually offers to be found (I paid just 5p per pot in Makro today) Nutritional Information ... more

    Advantages Advantages Delicious, Low Fat

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I've always avoided virtually fat free yogurts, associating them with diets, deprivation and downright misery. But when the penny dropped recently and I finally admitted to myself that I had let myself get VERY FAT, I psyched myself up to the fact that I would probably be eating them on a regular basis. Indeed, one of the first things I was told when I went along to join my local Slimming World class was that Muller Lite yogurts were a free food, meaning I could eat as many of them as I liked. Grudgingly, I went along to my local Kwik Save and bought half a dozen in assorted flavours. And as I ... more

I have read a couple of opinions on Muller Light Toffee Yoghurt and I realised that this was one flavour that I hadn’t yet tried. So. Whilst out shopping this morning I decided to remedy the situation and I am eating the said yoghurt whilst I write this opinion! I purchased the yoghurt from my local branch of Asda where it was on special offer at 29p a pot – it is usually 39p per pot. The toffee-flavoured yoghurt is in the same sort of pot at all the other flavours but has an appealing picture of some chunks of toffee on the (recyclable) foil seal on the top of the pot. The taste is absolutely ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice for a snack or eating as part of a calorie controlled diet.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me.

I like this brand of yoghurts and buy lots of them most weeks and often buy them on special offer and save a lot of money. This one is a real favourite of mine because I love toffee flavoured foods and sweets. Toffee flavour isn’t one that everyone likes and it isn’t as popular I guess as some of the other flavours but I love the taste of this flavour. The yoghurt comes in a nice round white plastic carton with a foil pull off lid with the name clearly on the front and can be easily spotted on the shelf of the fridge. The pot is a good size and easy to hold without it slipping from the hands ... more

I do have a bit of a weakness to toffee so you can imagine my delight when I discovered Muller Light Yoghurt Toffee flavoured, I knew I just had to give it a go. My life does seem like it’s just one big constant diet and as I am human I do feel the need for something sweet in the evening after dinner whilst watching telly and these fit into that category very nicely indeed as they are 99% fat free, only cost you 106 calories and 0.2g of fat per 200g tub but the best bit is these are a free food on my Slimming World diet, when I say free food what I mean is I can eat as many of these as I ... more

Advantages Advantages Good for your bones

Disadvantages Disadvantages It does not taste like toffee

My title is slightly misleading as Muller Light Toffee Yogurt is only a free food on the Slimming World diet. You do actually have to pay for them. They cost around 30 to 40 pence each and most are well worth every penny – but I am not sure about the toffee one though. On the Slimming World diet they have a list of foods that dieters can eat without restraint and all Muller Lights, including the toffee flavoured, are one of them. Other free foods you can eat in abundance are far less interesting and mainly consist of salads, fruit and vegetables. Unlimited toffee flavoured yogurt ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none for me!

Yoghurts are quick, convenient, and are one of those things that I stock up on every week at the supermarket as they are handy to pack with a lunch or have with your breakfast as a healthy light snack. There are plenty to choose from and I have recently been going through the various flavours of Muller Light yoghurts. These are currently on special offer at several of my local supermarkets where you can buy 4 for £1.00, and the RRP of each one is 61p so it's quite a good saving. Muller Light yoghurts are available in a wide variety of flavours, and I chose Toffee as it comes highly recommended ... more

Diet, don’t you just hate that word but I have at last found something that makes dieting just a bit more palatable. We all know that the way to weight loss is to reduce the amount of fat intake so when I found Muller light Yogurt which claims to be 99.9% fat free I was delighted and couldn’t wait to try it. Muller comes in a variety of flavours but my all time favourite is Toffee it is delicious and the taste so good its hard to believe there are only 53 calories per 100g. The yogurt come in 200g pots so that is 106 calories not a lot and it is very filling. The price is usually ... more
