    With the onset of Old Father Time, I've began to take a greater interest in my general health and well being. Apart from taking more exercise, which wasn't difficult starting from such a low base, I've also taken a greater interest in my intake.     Unless you've been living on another planet lately, like Rigelus Naeteli, you can't fail to have seen those condesending TV ads extoling the virtues of 'good' bacteria. Y'know, the stuff our gut apparently can't do without in order to properly digest and process the food we bung in our collective gobs. Kinda makes you wonder exactly how the human race has managed to survive for millions of years, doesn't it?     Once again I find myself thanking those lovely people at ASDA, because once again they've put these on special offer. They seem to do so every three weeks or so. I now know the offer is coming and am prepared to wait. The deal they have is a six-pack of either the Strawberry or Vanilla for £1.00 that's about 17p each, which is great value. The normal price is around £1.30 so you are saving about 5p per bottle. The pack contains 6 little bottles each with 159ml of this thick creamy drink.     Shopping in my local supermarket I came to the yoghurt section and after being constantly bombarded by TV adverts for various different pre&probiotic drinks and good bacteria I thought I would give them a go. Having scanned the shelves I was horrified at the price of some of these drinks that are available, and believe me everyone seems to have jumped onto this band wagon, I spotted the Muller range (currently on offer in my local ASDA with a 6 pack for £1.00) which seemed to be the best in price even at the full price.     Righto, after seeing all the hype over these drinks, I felt it my duty as a consumer, NO as a British citizen, to try one of these bacteria containing drinks. That was my one hangup, drinking bacteria! Yes ok, cheese, milk blah blah, it has it in, but actually drinking something with culture advertised on the label - brain did not want to know! LOL Anyway, I got a pack free from Tesco, a free sample. Firstly the shape of them is like a woman, big top, little waist and a big bum.     A few years back I rarely got to experience the joys and delights of these yoghurts in a pot, however in the past year or so their reputation has enhanced and more and more people are buying them, meaning the market is increasing. My favourtie type of yoghurt drink has to be the Muller Vitality range. There are different reasons for this and I will try and be in-depth about them.     Last fortnight whilst doing my normal shop around Tesco the babies trying to climb out of the trolley and my others asking for everything with the word chocolate I noticed as I passed the special offer stands Muller Pro Biotic yoghurts in vanilla flavor were reduced to half price just 92p for six bottles. I had seen the adverts and heard about how good pro biotics are supposed to be for you never mind the goodness of the Omega 3 that they have added so I picked up twelve bottles to give them a try.     A feel good start to your day says the advertisement. Sometimes I forget to drink them in the morning and have it at night - does this negate the effect? You can buy these in 6 x 100g packs or a 750g bottle. Flavours available? Vanilla, Tropical, Strawberry, Raspberry, Mandarin and Peach. Wide choice really and according to their website Orange is on its way - if you have ever eaten a yoghurt in one of these flavours then you know what the drink tastes like so if you hate Peach yoghurt avoid Peach flavour!
