Advantages Advantages Good gameplay, Good music, A good game overall

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pain, lots of pain. But as they say, no pain, no gain

This is a bit of a different review from my last game one, as this one was actually way worth the money. Considering my age and lack of height, I am slightly steering into the overweight category, I still to this day partially blame it on an illness I had, because as soon as I got better my body seemed to find every piece of food I ate and distribute it somewhere on my body. I am not one for exercising though, I cycle weekly and walk just over a mile daily, however it doesn’t seem to get any weight off me at all, I don’t always eat the right things, but considering at college, ‘healthy ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages music is rubbish

Let me start this review by saying I HATE EXERCISE!!!!!! and I always have done, hence the fact that I have reached a point in my life when I really need to do some to sort my body out. I purchased the wii fit plus recently and have been doing the exercises on there which are great and fun but I'd also heard about my fitness coach so I decided to get that as well and aim to use both plans 5 times a week. ************** First Use and personal settings. When you insert your disc you get to set up your own profile, you input your weight as well as your waist, hip, thigh, arm and chest ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap and effective

Disadvantages Disadvantages Would like more music options.

I bought a Wii Fit very soon after it's release and though it was the Bee's Knee's for about 2 weeks! Don't get me wrong, it's good fun and does burn those extra calories but an hour workout turns into an hour and a half by the time you've selected each exercise. So last January (the usual time for us ladies to feel the need to lose the bulge) I headed off to Weight Watchers! I was back on the Wii Fit (the Board needed dusting off!) and dug out the exercise DVD's! Then I heard about My Fitness Coach and at the time of it's release it was around £20 which was considerably cheaper than the price ... more

Advantages Advantages Gives you a great workout

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't use the Wii Balance Board

I never used to be a fan of computer games until I first tried 'Brain Training' on the DS and then graduated to a Wii just over a year ago. I bought Wii Fit when it first came out and have been using it diligently (333 days now) ever since! In truth I haven't been fitter for years, I am not in the first flush of youth (the bus pass came last week!) but I am really feeling the benefits. You might wonder (given all the above) why I felt the need to buy more Wii software related to fitness? Well to be honest I think one of the big failings with Wii Fit is the lack of proper aerobic exercises. The ... more

4 Stars A game that tries to make fitness fun. Review with images 27/03/2009

Advantages Advantages Much cheaper than Wii Fit. A serious workout can be customized to your requirements.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited interactivity. With no balance board to track your movements you've got to be honest.

After Nintendo scored a major coup with Wii Fit, it was only a matter of time before the competition got into the act. However, far from being a clone of Nintendo's offering, this is based upon an older game called Yourself! Fitness that was released for the Xbox and PS2 a few years back, newly refurbished and spruced up for the Wii. The main difference between this and Wii Fit is that there's no use of the balance board. This has the benefit of keeping the price down making it much more affordable, but it also means that there's little interactivity to the game, and it'll be a disappointment ... more

Advantages Advantages Don't need to be that fit to use it, can vary your workouts, can increase or decrease intensity

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maya's stock phrases can be annoying after a while

I'm one of those people who doesn't do much exercise so I was looking for a fun way to get moving that wouldn't seem like a big chore. I decided against buying a fitness video as I tend to find the routines boring and monotonous once I've done them a few times and know what's coming next. I was drawn to this particular Wii game as I liked the idea of being encouraged by a virtual personal trainer and having workouts that don't follow the exact same pattern each time. ***WHEN YOU START*** When you first use the game, you will be required to take part in fitness test. For this, you'll be asked ... more

Advantages Advantages Flows nicely, good variety of moves, intensive

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's not really very fun unless you like exercising

I bought My Fitness Coach for two reasons. The first was due to the fact that despite being thin, I've lost a lot of my toning and thought the summer holidays would be a good time to try and get it back. The second was that it was £9.99 online, and for that price I figured it didn't matter if I only ended up playing it once or twice! Let's talk about my approach to fitness. This is easy: I don't have one. I walk to university every day and I, uh, walk around the house. I truly hate exercising. I had gym membership for six months and used it about three times during that time. I own Wii Fit ... more

    Advantages Advantages Effective workout

Disadvantages Disadvantages Coach is irritating, doesn't give exercises with stability ball, no tutorial for Yoga

I purchase My Fitness Coach (Wii) a couple of weeks ago from Amazon which was priced at £10. I had been using Wii Fit for a while but I wanted to have more exercises so I wouldn’t get bored. I was very excited when it arrived. As soon as the disk starts, you have to set up your profile and do a fitness evaluation. This basically asks your weight measurements and makes you do different exercises such as pushups and jumping jacks to check your pulse rate. From this, the coach gives you her recommendation of the type of exercises you need to do. You are then ready to start the exercises. The ... more

Being a newby to Wii and wanting it purely for the fitness angle, i find My Fitness Coach as an excellent way to keep fit in the comfort of your own home. Advantages Advantages Good selection of exercises and very customisable.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't intergrate with the Wii balance board.

After loving the Wii Fit game so much I decided that it was time to get another fitness game. I was worried that it was just going to be a cheap spin off of the popular Wii Fit game but it wasn't. This game is just £8.99 on Amazon which is an amazing buy! It really is worth the money and I would encourage you to try it out. I do wish that this game had intergration with the Wii balance board because I believe that would have made it more enjoyable, personal opinion though. What I loved most about this game was that because there is almost 500 different exercises you never get bored. Some of ... more
