Advantages: Lots to do Disadvantages: Prefer the original Sims
As a huge fan of the Sims, when I saw this game advertised I knew I had to have it. My only dilemma was deciding which version, Nintendo Wii or DS? I was unsure how much they would differ, so I waited a few days and read some reviews. I finally decided on the DS game for two reasons: It was about £10 cheaper and the DS is actually mine, the Wii is my husbands console and this game really isn't his kind of thing! I did a bit of window shopping first ... ...as the prices were similar to internet sites but I didn't have to wait for delivery. If you are looking for this in any shop, you definately can't miss it, the picture is bright and vibrant, showing cartoon characters in a variety of outfits whose heads are bigger than their bodies, quite unlike the original Sims. Okay, on to the game....
When you first start your game, you get to choose the features of your Sim. These include the gender, skin colour, ...

Advantages: good storyline, unique characters, enjoyable mini-games Disadvantages: can be slightly difficult at some points, not much to do after 5th star
This looked like a girly game to me, but it's good for boys too, so I bought it for my DS since I hadn't bought a game in months and wanted something new to play on. I had read the online description by Argos and it sounded quite appealing to me so I decided to treat myself.
***The Story***
You have moved to an island which has lost it's tourist popularity. The Mayor, Helen, asks for your help to restore the thriving business' and pick the island ... ...meet characters who will work on the island and also talk to tourists to keep them happy. The purpose is to make the tourists happy and this is how you will complete the game. Not only do you have to talk to the tourists in order to to this but you also have to make sports popular in an area, shops popular and make places look attractive.
***The Characters***
Like any other Sims game you're able to create your Sim to your liking. There are both ...

Advantages: Loads of fun, don't have to send your character to the toilet every 2 minutes Disadvantages: Not much to do after completing the game, lacks deep Sims-type gameplay
...the completely different look of MySims on the Nintendo DS.
Sooner or later, however, my Sims obsession ensured that I caved in and ordered this game from Amazon!
Gameplay
MySims is very easy to play, and could be compared to the Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon games. MySims focuses far more on the adventures of your individual character and the town he/she lives in, rather than the traditional Sims focus on building up a household or family. ... ...even similar gameplay, I would recommend this not to Sims fans in particular but more to those who like Animal Crossing type games / minigames. However if you have never played a game like that, or have kids between 8 and 13, I would recommend at least trying MySims out! ...

Advantages: Can buy alot more Disadvantages: Not useful when you have completed the game
This My Sims game is definately a totally different version of the usual Sims I am used to even though it is still made by EA. The main differences of this version of the game are the graphics and how you control the characters. In this game you are ONE person and go about your business. I guess when this game came out in 2007 they were re-thinking of the brand of the Sims and thought they needed a new way in order to attract more customers. In this ... ...to be more cartoon and 'cute' like. People are shorter and less human like. You start off in My Sims as a newcomer to the town and get to know the locals and solve some small mysteries in order to progress on in the game. You also like the old version Sims games, get to redecorate and customise your home. This allows you to feel like you have a whole new (albeit a small) life. In this game you must improve the town's reputation and contribute to ...

Sims 2 etc.. are deffinatly my fave ever games so naturally when the game came out i thought it would be great, know i am not too sure. see what you think..
At the beginning you design your character - gender, hair, skin, eyes, clothes - not a great selection but you collect more as you go along, hats, etc..
Then the real game begins,
you go on a boat and talk to the captain and he asks where you are a-going so you name your town.
On your way ... ...kind of mascot uniform (dogs head) then you follow him and he leads you to the town mayer, Helen - she is very busy and can't show you around
but she seems upset about Tim (Mascot dog head) who seems to have disapeared. she directs you to the racketball court were you have to cheer him up by choosing one of 3 emotions - when you pick one a new one pops up. alltogether there are 7 different emotions - speak, listen , cry, comfort, laugh, encourege ...

Advantages: Fun pocket adventures for kids & young adults Disadvantages: Not on the big screen
WoW what a laugh it has been playing My Sims for the last few days i thought i was going to be a flop like it has been on other NoN PC formates but i couldn't stop playing with the new features.
Its very easy to set up & get ready to explore all the new features as it is designed for 5 - young adults. You can even make your own patterns to make unique clothing and furniture items. You can even send your inspired creations to a friend using the Nintendo ... ...mini games like fishing, para gliding, and scuba diving to prospecting and racquetball. There are also many different areas like the mountain, forest, port, entertainment district, and more. Unlock more of the world as new characters visit and move in.
Great buy for up coming x-mas don't forget at some local shops there will have Freebies given away with the game e.g

Advantages: making sims all happy takes along time Disadvantages: making sims all happy takes along time
I would recomend this game to any sim's fan. It is much easier to control and I found it is alot easier game plan than any of the other sim's games.
I have played this game on the wii and I found the DS version much better and easier to control.
The game starts where you can personalise your sim, you then move into the village and start to meet the characters such as the mayre and the flower shop owner.
To get through the game you need to help ... ...the next game play.
Within the game there are lots of fun little mini games such as a a game where you help the flower shop keper to make garland type flowers. As you score more points, harder levels open up. This allows you to earn money and collect these garlands to make sims happy in the village.
All round I find this game fun for all ages, however smaller players may need a little guidance. Summary: Great game keeps you going for hours ...

Advantages: Probably be good for kids Disadvantages: Boring and repetitive
Being a big fan of the Sims I was quite intrigued when I found out about this game. After thinking about it for a while I decided to buy it on the DS rather than the Wii as I was off on holiday so thought would be great to take it with me. However, total waste of time, was really disappointed with it. It isn't a traditional Sims game and I don't think it can compete with the Sims. Instead of building your own house and creating your family in this ... ...few population problems and you have to sort it out by making new friends and exploring. I think this is probably more suited to children as it is easier to understand and control but I was left bored. I ended up walking round and round the town talking to the same people over and over again and constantly going backwards and forwards. I wouldn't recommend this game if you like the Sims as you will be disappointed, however I think for kids it would ...

Quick review of MySims (Nintendo DS)
MySims is a unique game for Nintendo DS which sets itself apart from previous "Sims" games.
Good points:
- Graphics are of a good standard
- Great storyline behind the game itself
- A great follow up from previous Sims titles.
Bad points
- There is limited time which restricts what can be done each "day" in My Sims
- The game is not very helpful for beginners / people who find it hard to catch onto a game properly
- Features such as furniture and rooms are almost identical to a previous Nintendo DS game, Animal Crossing: Wild World.
Overall, MySims is a fun game with exciting gameplay but does have its bad points aswell as its good points. ...

This has to be the best of the Sims so far and I have all of them, I love the style of the peoople, big heads that make them seem cute. The controls are eay to use, which adds to any ganme enjoyment.
I cant stop playing this game, I got to name my own town and go around playing, meeting new people and doing nice deeds for residents of the town. For this you get money which allows you to buy clothes (great for girls) furniture for your house and items to make the town look good.
For instant I met a character and I did some fishing, I caught a barracuda...Wicked. In return the man paid me.
Its addictive and great for all ages boy or girl. ...

I know what your thinking, anouther rubbish DS format sims game where you have to look after your sims, get them jobs and fullfill thier needs etc but this one is different. This time you start off in a very quiet town just looking after one sim. You have to help out various town people and try and attract visitors and make the town more popular. I would reccomend you buy this game as it is a great inprovement from the other DS sims games and also a nice change from the pc sims games. ...
