Advantages: Err... Looks OK? Disadvantages: Drops Connection, unable to use phone at same time, unable to access admin interface
I have only owned this modem for a couple of days and already I'm experiencing problems with it. It drops the connection every once in a while, and I am unable to use the phone at the same time as surfing.
Those are only the major problems, I am also unable to access the admin interface, and it also has to be rebooted after a couple of hours of use.
Thinking of running P2P applications? Think again. The modem only allows you to select from a few ... ...longer exist. Trying to set custom rules results in an error message saying how the IP address is in an incorrect format.
The ability to set it as a normal modem would be nice. That would solve most of the problems with the firewall. And you can do that, or at least it says on the box. When you select the modem option, it changes. But then you cannot access the modem, and you cannot use it to browse the internet. The only way around it is to reset ...

Advantages: The Speed and relibility of this is fansastic Disadvantages: None
The netgear wireless router is a great piece of equiptment and very good value. I had just brough a apple imac and my moden a speed touch 330 wasnt compatiable with the apple i mac as I also had the intel core duo processor. So I ordered a Belkin wireless moden router but was told that the netgear one was better. I am so glad that they told me this as it is so easy to set up and get on the internet. I had never set up a wireless network up and the ... ...normal PC and the Apple Imac. If anyone wants a wireless moden router I would suggest this.
