...NETGEAR ROUTER DG834N + WN121TADAPTER
The company I work for, which will remain nameless, bought a small amount of these routers at Christmas; just about everybody in the company has had a problem, mainly with the wireless connection failing intermittently or no wireless connection at all.
Now the companies IT department has just received a new batch directly from Netgear, my new replacement router lasted 4 days, now it keeps losing wireless connection again
I am IT certified myself and would stay well away from this model DG834N
The DG834GT router I had before this one, had no problem at all
I have installed the DG834, DG834G and DG834GT for family and friends and have always liked the Netgear routers until now; it's very possible they have design problem with the DG834N model?...

Advantages: fast connection by wireless or wire, reliable Disadvantages: not as cheap as some but worth it, ignore quick setup
...Set up and installation was very easy, I was up and running within minutes although I later found that this was because I had bypassed automatic setup and configured it myself as I later found out that the automatic setup option was less automatic than what I needed to enter to get it working (from reading some peoples feedback on other sites, the automatic setup wanted all sorts of info that my isp hasn't provided me and would require either an internet connection to get or a call to the support line......)
I have found it to be very stable, which compared to my old Netgear wgt634u which was aweful for needing rebooting after it lost connection to my pc. Wi-fi coverage hasn't let me down where I have used it. Overall it doing a good job without me needing to do anything to it, as it should be just connect it to the modem and pc...

Advantages: Fast, Easy installation, small, built in aerial Disadvantages: None
...Having a number of laptops in the house, as well as a couple of networked computers, we decided to buy a wireless router for the internet. Whilst the newest laptop had wireless built in, my somewhat older one did not, so I purchased a wireless card. Having a Netgear router, I decided to go for a Netgear card, and came away with the WPN511. Netgear is also a respected and trusted name in networking for homes and businesses, with a reputation for simple, functional and good value products.
The card itself is roughly credit card size, and about 5mm thick, with a roughly 30mm extension on the end that sticks out of the computer and contains the aerial and some lights. It is very lightweight, and easy to store when not in use, which is useful since it's generally not able to be left in the computer when packed into a carrying case. The card...

When I first heard of this product, I really wasn't convinced. First of all Netgear's claim that it can operate at 270mb which is more than 2 times that of a standard home/office 10/100mb network and a good deal more than my old 54g (30mb+/-) router's... more
