Not alot of benefits for students like me

Advantages: Money for struggling students
Disadvantages: Still a struggle, Loan treated as an income

...that they deserve from the NHS Benefits agency. I have applied for help with dental fees on numerous occasions and have been told that I get too much student loan for them to help me more! I was also appauled to find out that they take your student loan into account when determining how much they will allow you to pay for health costs. It didn't benefit me at all.

Advantages: A 'wage' for students.
Disadvantages: Everything else.

Having just qualified from doing a 3-year nursing training ocurse at my local University, I was glad to be a much higher wage. The bursary that student nurses are offered is appaling, but the only thing that we can do at the moment is ask for more. Apart from that, I actually had to work throughout most of my holidays just to be able to survive.
