Advantages Advantages Leaves your skin feeling smooth after removing hair. Regrowth takes longer to appear.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Time consuming, difficult to remove causing redness to your skin. The smell.

I always use a razor to get rid of unwanted body hair and am quite content using this method, however, I have on occasion found that under my arms can become a little sore and sensitive from time to time. It was because of this that a little while ago I decided to try a hair removal cream. I had previously experimented with a hair removal cream a few years ago and both the smell, the length of time it took when using the product and also the poor results, led me to return to my trusty razor once again. Bearing this in mind, I thought that even if using a hair removal cream was still hard work ... more

    Advantages Advantages Umm...

Disadvantages Disadvantages It really doesn't work very well & it smells disgusting!

~ Nair Sensitive Hair Removal Cream ~ I purchased the "Nair Sensitive Hair Removal Cream" a few months ago, following a particularly nasty episode of shaving rash that had occurred to my legs after using an extremely harsh razor. I felt that my sensitive skin would perhaps respond a little more positively to something other than a razor for a while, and purchased the Nair product purely on the basis it has been formulated for sensitive skin. I paid around £3.50 for the boxed product, which contains 100ml of the hair removal cream in a plastic tube. I thought this price reflected reasonable ... more

Advantages Advantages Affordable, easy to use, good results.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Strong chemical smell, not moisturising.

You may well be wondering why a guy is reviewing this product. I understand that probably a large majority of users of hair removal cream will be women, though I do know of a few men myself that use such products to remove unwanted body hair. Hair removal cream is a very popular product for women at keeping their legs silky smooth, though its users go further than that. Obviously this product is designed to carry out one task, to remove hair. Finding the right product is very important, and I can imagine most people have used a whole host of brands before settling on one they prefer to use. I ... more

Advantages Advantages Smooth skin where hair is removed.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't remove all the hair and doesn't smell great at all!

I absolutely hate shaving my legs! I loathe it more than anything actually lol Way back on here I wrote a review on an epilator I used that marked my legs and armpits and it was so bad I couldn't wear skirts or short sleeved tops for months! As a Beauty Therapist I've tried loads of different methods over the years and waxing doesn't suit me either as it tears my wafer like skin and I have tried loads of different deplority creams over the years, to no avail probably even this one way back but I bought this for a pound just to see if it worked! I love the thought of putting something on my ... more

Advantages Advantages Good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wished the results lasted longer.

Leg waxing is a luxury I can’t afford since having my daughter, so for the past 2 years I have been trying different cheaper methods of hair removal and this is my latest product in the bathroom. Brought just before Christmas in Boots for approx £5. The packaging has 50ml extra free so is obviously larger than the tube shown in the picture and will obviously last longer than the normal size so my recommendation on how long the tube should last may be out by a little bit. The tube stands at 20cm and so doesn’t fit in the bottom shelf of my bathroom cabinet, this is worth mentioning as I don’t ... more

    Advantages Advantages Removes hair

Disadvantages Disadvantages Smell, made skin sore and red

I usually wax my legs but seeing as the weather is freezing I am mainly wearing jeans and leggings at the minute and so I've just been shaving once a week. I had some of this hair removal cream in the bottom of my make-up drawer as my friend had left it at mine a few weeks ago so I decided to use it up. As instructed on the tube I did a patch test the day before and after 24hrs had no bad reaction to it. I used it last night after I'd had a bath. It was easy to use and I simpy spread a thick layer of it all over my legs and left it on for around six minutes. The cream is like a lotion sort of ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to apply, not runny, cheap when on promotion

Disadvantages Disadvantages irritated, barely rid hair for me

About: I was never really that bothered about hair removal until I was in my late teens and started feeling the need to shave my legs as everyone else does. I was bought a battery powered shaver but it never got rid of the hair fully for me. My mum bought me some of this Nair sensitive hair removal cream as she bought some for herself and for my sister. (We all have sensitive skin and I have reactions to most major branded facial cleansing creams) The cream: It can be used to remove hair on the legs, under the armpits and around the bikini line. I decided to try it out just as I was going to ... more

This was rubbish, so that is the review over, to be honest you do not need to read any further really as the rest is just my attempt to reach the 150 word limit. Well maybe not quite after all there is more to add but I would certainly not recommnd this product at all. I have tried a few different creams over the years and have yet to find one that is really very good and this Nair Sensitive Hair Removal Cream is one that just did not work. The only plus side is the fact that I did not part with a lot of money buying it as I got it in Wilkinsons and it was only a £1, maybe I should have ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages The smell of ammonia can be left behind. Certain hair types may need specific methods of removal.

Now the first thing you notice about this product if you are a first time HRC user, is the smell of ammonia. This is pretty standard for all HRC products, however, some are better masked than others. For any that use hair relaxers out there, it's pretty much the same concept, but in a more concentrated form. (Now you know what'll happen if you leave your relaxer in for too long). The package info does give a minimum & maximum time, but having thick. dark hair, especially at the roots, I do leave it in for just over the maximum time. They usually say rinse off or wipe with a damp towel, but for ... more
