    Nationwide online banking services are pretty impressive . I joined there three months ago and I have found the nationwide website www.nationwide.co.uk a very user friendly , co-ordinated and helpful way of banking on the net. Let me explain that I was very sceptical of banking this way but I have tried it and so far have had no regrets. As a computer novice I found the website easy to follow and it is very simple to register for online banking.     Advantages Advantages Great web site, easy to setup, easy and quick to transfer money between accounts

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Easy to setup, but slow too

    I have only held a nationwide account for about 7 months now. Initially it took me ages regestering online because there were various things that had to be sent by post etc. The whole setup procedure took about 6 weeks! But once that was over it is all so easy. I have a Flexaccount and an E-savings account. The Flexaccount can be used with holes-in-the-wall at any time. Nationwide do not charge for using other machines by the way. The E-savings account is currently earning 6.8%, one of the best on the net. Money is very easily transferable between the two for free - it is always completed in ... more

    I have banked with many financial institutions, and I can honestly say that Nationwide is far and away the best I've ever dealt with. The staff are really friendly and helpful, which I have never really found in other institutions. I would highly recommend the online Nationwide banking facility - I have used two other banks' online banking, and again Nationwide is far superior. It is well-laid-out, clear, easy to use.     We have used Nationwide Building Society as our bank for more than fifteen years. During that time they have constantly improved their service to their members. The on line Banking facility has all the features anyone could want, making the paying of bills and other services very easy. One of the things that I feel is most unusual is that apart from the fact that you can get a mini statement on line any time you can also ask for a full statement on line and have this posted to you without any charge whatsoever.     Advantages Advantages Bank from home and move money from savings account to current account and vice versa.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow connection. Delays in answering queries.

    I joined the Nationwide Building Society in order to make use of their Internet Banking site while I was abroad. This has proved very useful, moving money from one account to another, paying bills online and generally being able to keep an eye on my accounts anywhere and at any time. There were drawbacks at the beginning such as not being able to access the site when it was first started, due to "teething" problems.     Disadvantages Disadvantages None I can think of

    Nationwide's web site allows me to manage my FlexAccount online with the minimum of fuss, and to see easily how my finances are doing. Their Online Banking facility is considerably improved since I first joined them as a member, and is one of the best online current accounts I've seen. Their new "e-savings" savings account, which is tied to your FlexAccount (current account) for transfering money in and out offers a chart-topping 7% interest, and it's very easy to transfer money too and from the FlexAccount.     I’ve been a Nationwide member for many years now, and have been subscribing to their online banking since September 1999. I can only say how impressed I am with the on-line service. I have full confidence in its two-tiered security system, and the one mistake they have made (debiting a transaction twice) was swiftly rectified. I can log in and check my accounts in a matter of minutes, and transfer sums between accounts immediately. I can also get a full statement on line, and check my direct debits, so there is never any excuse for not knowing my balance. Well done Nationwide, you will have my ... more

    I have been a customer with Nationwide for over 10 years but I have never been more impressed with their service! The on-line banking section of their web-site is really excellent, especially from an espablished building society. It wasn't launched with all the glitz and glamour of the internet banks, but then it's not an internet bank. I don't know if that's such a bad thing. I like being able to nip into town if I have a query about my flex account, but I also like the convenience of being able to send my query from my own account page on-line.     I have been saving with Nationwide for almost three years now. I find that Nationwide always give a highly competitive saving interest rate. She keeps herself on par with the fast growing technology as well. Recently, she introduce her first on-line banking saving account named e-Savings which gives a generous interest of 7%! Nationwide had other saving accounts on-line as well. You can access to your account anytime anyday. You can easily transfer your money to and from any accounts as long as they are 0n-line.     In June of this year I tried to sign up to Nationwides esavings account. I filled in the necessary on line info, then received a letter asking for signature and copies of a domestic bill, a council tax bill and a bank statement to prove who I was, they had to be originals, not copies. I sent them off at the start of July and I am still waiting for my account to be opened, at the time of writing this it is 31st August, so I think that I have been quite patient.
