Their bills are awkward to pay!

Advantages: Low income friendly
Disadvantages: poor payment options

...been directed only to a Natwest branch, however living in Scotland this is not exactly easy, as they are not on every high street. You may think as RBS own natwest there would be some kind of tie in, but you'd be wrong! d) Unbelievably in this day and age, paying over the phone by debit card is NOT possible! Unlike virtually ALL their competitors etc they do not offer this service and leave me and others like me with the unfortunate lottery of wither ...

Your Flexible Friend

Advantages: air miles
Disadvantages: see op

"Thank you for calling NatWest card centre, we are experiencing unusually high call volumes at present and as a result your call may be held in a queue, we do apologise for any delay this may cause but please be assured your call will be handled as soon as possible." This is the latest message you get when calling the NatWest card centre. They seem to be making it sound like it is unusual to be held in a queue. In the 14 years I have been a customer ...
...The Card ~~~ With a NatWest credit card you get a high APR or 19.4% on purchases and 21.2% on cash advances and there should be an annual fee on top of that. I've never actually paid the annual fee as they always waive it (what's the point in setting it if you then waive it?). The card is a good idea if you always pay your bills on time and never use cash advances. Its only a good idea to have one of these cards because you can claim British Airways ...

cant think of a title

Advantages: airmiles. online banking.
Disadvantages: high charges.

I have a NatWest Credit Card and i think its great! i am very dependant on it and it is accepted just about everywhere! the online website is quite easy to use. their online facilty is great. i check my balance and trasfer, etc all the time on the website. i did have a little problem a few months ago but i was refunded in full. but other than that one time i have never had any problems with the card - no mysterious money missing or unusual charges. ...
...would have done without my natwest credit card! there is no annual card fee. Balance Transfer APR of 5.9% until the balance is repaid. Standard APR rates of 17.4% for Purchases and 19.2% for Cash Advances. There is the ability to pay off your monthly balance by direct debit and u can get an extra card for a friend, partner or relative at no extra cost. (i personally wouldnt do this!) The initial thing that caught my eye and made me apply for this ...

Natwest allows FREE online access to your account

Advantages: Good idea, well layed out, very secure, GOOD BANK
Disadvantages: Unbelievable painstaking, slow, unreliable

...review is not about the Natwest Card, but about Natwest Online Banking, a free service from Natwest that allows you to check your balance online and transfer funds. Let me start by saying that Nawest is an excellent bank, and I have never questionned using them. It's online service however, is so unbelievably bad. When I first joined NWOLB (no not NOB) I thought it would be great to keep up with my account without going to the local. Signing up ...
...etc. I only have one Natwest account so I couldn't use transfer funds and I didn't need to sort out standing orders. My use was simple: how much money do I have. Now Natwest has a 'new' system. It doesn't allow you to order new stationairy but all other features are there. It's now a pain to login though. It's VERY secure - you need to enter 3 (specified) random characters of your Pin and Password. This is good as if someone accidentaly gets at ...

...over the net from your Natwest account. I prefer to do mine via direct debt. The website is good if not a little memory hungry. It used to be the case that you could only log on using one type of computer (being a Mac user this meant I couldn’t log on using a PC). I should hope the new website has resolved problems like this. And that’s about all I have to day, this is a fairly standard card and better ones are available. I’m more wary of schemes ...

The credit card that brings you joy and pain

Advantages: Excellent on-line service, good for students, air miles scheme, helpful telephone service, sensible credit limits
Disadvantages: High APR, high admin charges, trouble using it on certain websites

As the title suggests, you get a lot of positives and negatives with this particular credit card. I shall begin with what I see as being its most redeeming qualities, before explaining several factors that let Nat West down a bit on this product. Firstly, as most reviewers have mentioned, you receive air miles - 1 mile for every £20 you spend, in fact. This is a good bonus for spending Nat West's money, although you have to spend quite a bit before ...
...I must disagree with certain reviewers on this issue, they have a very helpful telephone enquiry service. A particularly impressive example of this came when I had problems using my card on the Internet (a point which I shall come back to later). I received a call within hours of my card being rejected by a website, to verify that I was aware of what had happened. Fortunately, it was really me that had been using the card, but had it been anyone ...

...would I do without my Natwest card, I have become so dependent on it that it’s like my best friend. I, take it everywhere I go. It’s accepted in every shop, so I’m free to spend. I can spend up to £750 before I am in the red. Then every month they send me a bill, where the minimum payment is £5. Not bad. I would recommend it to every student, as long as you’re sensible and can afford to pay it back then go for it. When you ...

You also get a pin number so you can draw money out, use you’re card like a bank book and withdraw money out from the bank. The interest on the money you withdraw only takes in effect when you go in the red. Thank-fully I have not had that problem so I haven’t had to pay any interest. Well ...

...a start, i bank with Natwest and they are brilliant. Their range of services and products is fantastic, their online banking is great and they are always willing to help me. Why i love my Natwest Card

Advantages: Air Miles, low APR, excellent serive, accepted everywhere
Disadvantages: Do need to spend quite alot to get the Air Miles

I have had a Natwest Card for a little over one year now and i can honestly say that it has been excellent. It was my first time applying for a credit card and the bank were really helpful. They even helped me fill out the form. I was a bit worried about whether i would get a card but it turned up in under two weeks. The main reason i chose the Natwest card was because i have banked with them all my life and it seemed logical to get a credit card ...
...lowest i could find anyway) and the free Air Miles. It was extremely helpful on my gap year i travelled through North America and Europe and almost every where accepted the card. It is invaluable if you are travelling. I also found that the Air Miles started to build up, though you do have to spend alot of money to earn them (though this was little trouble for a spendaholic like me). In fact i managed to get anough air miles to take me to Paris ...

GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE?

Advantages: accepted everywhere
Disadvantages: customer service

...like to warn people that Natwest did not listen to me and I have been with them for 15 years. So anyone considering a credit card ( a bad idea in itself think before you chose Natwest) I think that the card is a useful tool, the apr isnt especially low aound 18% at present for me, you get air miles which is useful, but to be honest there is nothing that sets it apart from any other credit card. *UPDATE * I have since had 2 mistaken payments of ...

NatWest Mastercard

Advantages: well established, reliable
Disadvantages: conditional admin charges, not on-line

I used a NatWest Mastercard for many years mainly because I originally banked with them. I have had no major problems with payments etc. I was irritated a couple of years ago to find that they were to introduce an administration charge on top of interest charges. At the time, I thought that this would become inevitable on all credit cards. However, the competition, particularly from on-line providers is now much more intense and there are some ...

Good quiality card

Advantages: No rip offs
Disadvantages: No special offers

...when I first opened a Natwest student account and at first I didn;t use it much, but I have since become quite dependent on it! Airmiles and Natwest

Advantages: You get airmiles!
Disadvantages: APR :-(

Anyone who is thinking of getting this card should consider this. You do get airmiles. Not very many, I admit, but they build up over time. Especially when you buy online with places like dabs.com, collect their loyalty points (which you then trade in for... airmiles!). I wouldn't bother with the special offers they send out a few times a year unless it's something you were going to buy anyway, but I've found the card to be good value. When I phoned ...
..."I'm about to get charged the annual fee", said the student, not wanting to spend any more money than absolutely necessary. "Good news - we're dropping it!" she said. So I kept the card. I've found it to be very good. The staff are helpful, they increase my credit limit automatically, reduce it when I ask them to, and I've never had any problems at all. Applying for the card was easy - I just ticked a box! So all in all - go for it. Nothing to ...

A card which isn't keen to let you pay them back

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: poor training in customer service department

...I have been a Natwest Customer for over 15 years, so had no hesitation at the time applying for a card from a bank that has given me a reasonable service over the years. However the problem that occurs with getting a credit card from the same bank as your other services, does not necessarily mean that the different departments talk to each other, and when my wife and I got a loan for home improvement and debt consolidation, and had thousands of pounds ...
