Navigo SY-885 GPS

I had Garmin Streetpilot for some years, I drive a lot and make a great deal of use of Sat Nav in my role as a mobile service engineer. I got used to the interface and was very happy with it until recently when it started to prompt me to update the maps. Going to the Garmin site I discovered that the map update was going to cost more than a new Sat Nav so I shelved that idea and was given this Navigo unit as a birthday present. In a world of expensive and bewildering Sat Navs I found this one at a very cheap price that seemed to have the facilities of other and a number of rave reviews. I've not used other Sat Navs so if we are honest I can't really compare this to a top of the line model, but there are certain basic things I would expect of it - that it will get me where I want to go by the best route possible and that I can check the route ahead of time. The Navigo SY-885 was originally built as an entry level GPS. However its specification is brilliant for the price you pay! My mother paid £67.99, as a present for me before heading to Carlisle from Liverpool. I have only been driving for a year, so was biding my time til I could afford a TomTom or Navman! Im so glad she just bought the Navigo. It is fantastic. It seems to process information very quickly, and gets you back on course following a wrong turn.
