The Navman also has a Back-On-Track facility which automatically recalculates your trip for when you have the radio on too loud that you miss a turn. I have never had to use this but I tested its efficiency by deliberately missing a turn and sure enough it directed me back to where I should be. The display preference screen can change the time zone, 12 hour/24 hour clock and whether you would prefer miles or kilometres. You can also ... ...is 2D, which works fine for me as I have witnessed the all-singing and dancing 3D models working and in my opinion I found it to be distracting. I can use this unit when I go to France as it covers European countries. I believe you can download maps for other countries not covered.

Navman have got it right in so many ways. There are a few grumbles I have but overall they have done very well.
Are you looking to get the best Sat Nav system on the market with all the bells and whistles on it? No. Neither was I. To be honest what I needed was a basic system to tell me to turn at the correct point to ensure that I did not spend time getting lost and swearing loudly at anything and everyone.
After browsing the net for a few days ... ...over £150 delivered. That to me seemed like very good value so I clicked away and got the system a few days later.
The manual that came with it is quite poor to be honest. But within 10 mins I had plugged all the various bits in and waited to get signal to tell me where I was. Warning - First time you turn it on be in a area with no large buildings etc, it takes a few minutes to locate the satelites (up to 10). Once it has them locked it will not ...

Advantages: good basic model Disadvantages: slow to pick up saterlites
my navman icn 320 was not bad when you could get a signal.once you got a signal it was pretty good didnt loose signal much at all.
it was a basic model that did the job.it was a bit pricey but hey i could have waited for a few months for it to go down maybe.
it did give you alternate routes.which did come in handy . which was a bonus.but not the speed camera s.was fairly hard to use but once mastered was ok.it did a satisfactory job in whole.they ...

hi i got a navman icn320 for christmas 2005, so its now 6 months , ive had one.
the first one i got worked for 2 months then the internal rechargable battery died. so i returned it to comet, and they gave me a new one. not a good start realy.
but i must say this one is still going strong.
but the main draw back is its map, its years out of date.
i live in ayrshire , so my main route in to glagow is the m77.
