Not A Patch On Previous Games In The Series

Advantages: Still a reasonable racing game
Disadvantages: Not innovative enough.

...which was a feature about Need For Speed Carbon that I absolutely loved. (Nothing beats running from the cops at an incredible rate of knots, and ramming their police cars!) Most of the action now takes place on a race track, and even though there are quite a variety of different races, they all seem to be simply the same track with a few more twists and turns added on. After a while this tends to become boring. In older versions of NFS you could ...
...something I never felt the need to do in previous versions like Carbon. All the other features of the previous games are there like the ability to customize your car both with graphics and non-standard engine parts to improve its appearance and performance, but no real effort has been made to improve on this feature, other than adding a rather daft "wind tunnel". It looks fantastic, but actually does very little to help you streamline the aerodynamics ...

Need For Speed has gone downhill!

Advantages: Car customization still available
Disadvantages: Poor car handling and structured races mean no police chases or street racing!

...on earth has happened to Need For Speed?? In my opinion this game has gone and ruined an excellent series of driving games. With the obvious illegality of street racing the makers of Need For Speed have decided to make everything more legal. Gone are the days of racing through the city streets avoiding cars and police roadblocks! There are now a variety of structured races such as Sector Shootout, Drift, Wheelie competition, Top Speed Run, Speed ...
...I found this very disappointing, Need For Speed has always been a very fast paced game and in previous instalments I used to go racing round corners at speeds above 80mph! Do that in this game and you will total your car and the race will be over. The only good thing about the cars is that you can still customise them in any way you choose, like in the other Need For Speed games. The graphics of the game aren't too bad; mind you in Most Wanted and ...

Did EA get amnesia over the NFS series?

Advantages: graphics sound multiplayer car choice
Disadvantages: gets boring quickly- truly awful gameplay-no free roam what so ever-

...dooyoo.co.uk*** What happened to Need for Speed. This game definetly isn't like any others, Pro Street is the equivalent of Gran Turismo 4 made awful. In other words, there is no free roaming, the tracks are limited and the gameplay is very hard to get to grips with. So the career, I though the layout was ok. However, not anything special. To complete the career you need to complete several "Race Days" which involve several different events. There ...
...main ones are still there: sprint, circuit, time attack, drag and drift. Personally, I liked the career in Most Wanted much better. In Most Wanted you could roam about, find the events and complete them within a street race atmosphere. In Pro Street all of this NFS feeling is gone. The moves that you can pull are very limited due to the set out, unchangeable and boring tracks. So the career is nothing special, mainly due to the track only racing ...

Pro Street

Advantages: Good driving simulator
Disadvantages: Poor atuosculpt and tuning up feature

...awesome game just like previous need for speeds. But i was wrong this game may have a huge choice of cars but it has hardly any features you can upgade and custimize yourself. In previous games the autosculpt and the choice of upgrades was truly amazing but in this game there was a limited choice. The graphics are better and it's a much, much better driving simulator but you don't get the same exitment when your playing on it as you do on previous ...

You're off the track, mate!

Advantages: excellent graphics and damage system
Disadvantages: No free-ride mode, only track raacing. too many ads

...for the developers of the need for Speed series. Every couple of yewars they have to re-invent the game to suit the trends and to try and rake in some more cash. Unfortunately, they seem to have gone off the track a little in the latest game of the series, Need for Speed: Pro Street. This Game is different from other titles, because it focusses solely on legal, track racing. What made the other titles so good, now seems to be gone from the series. ...
...Unlike other games, however, you need a seperate car for every type of event. Having said that, the game does have some shining qualities. The graphics are awesome, and the new damage system really works. The customisation allowed on cars is sublime. But, this game is littered with ads. Everywhere in the game you can see an ad for some company, whether it be for your car repairs or for better oil. Because this game is supposed to be more realistic, ...
